, Rare:

It can be difficult for veterans to find work, especially in this tough job market. So House Republicans have introduced a new bill aimed at helping veterans find jobs, as well as providing incentives to businesses to hire them.

The Hire More Heroes Act would allow businesses to hire veterans without making them full-time employees under the Affordable Care Act.

Republicans argue this will encourage the hiring of vets, while also preventing businesses from cutting workers in order to avoid the 50-employee mandate for Obamacare.

The bill was introduced last year, where it passed in the House, but went nowhere in the Senate. It is not known when the House will vote on the bill this year.

  1. Anything we can do to show the veterans thanks for the sacrifices they have made is necessary. These people are heroes and deserve hero status. Personally I think the government should waive taxes on them after their service as well…but that’s just me. We can’t do enough to help the vets!

    • I couldn’t agree more sir! The way they have been treated is deplorable at best (more so in the past but still not great!). They deserve so much and can simply never be repaid…
