Mad World News:

For months, several residents of an apartment building in Mexico City have been complaining of their drinking water having a “strange taste.” After months of hearing the same complaint, council workers decided to investigate further and check the city’s filtration tank. To their surprise, there was a corpse floating inside the tank. The body was later identified as missing aspiring actress Carmen Yarira Noriega Esparza.

Esparza has been missing since February of last year. Upon the discovery of her body, her family and friends are upset. The Daily Mail reported, “Mexico City Police fear Ms. Esparza’s body may have been decaying in the water tank since her disappearance.” Not only has her body been floating in the city’s filtration tank, but they don’t understand how her body could go unnoticed for as long as it did.

According to Mirror, “Residents in the area have been left horrified at the thought that the woman’s decaying body tainted their domestic water supply for 11 months.” I can’t say that I blame them, considering the thought of drinking corpse infused water is nauseating.

Police have revealed that the body was found in the tank in a “high state of putrefaction.” The exact cause of death will be determined by the Institute of Forensic Sciences via a postmortem evaluation. Police have already confirmed her identity “from implants that she had as a result of a plastic surgery operation.”

When Esparza was reported as missing almost a year ago, the initial fear was that she had been abducted by a gang that had been involved in the sex slave business. The investigators no longer believes this to be the case, as they have refocused their attention on her previous relationship with a businessman. It should be noted that she was not dating the businessman at the time of her abduction, at which point she was involved with a lawyer.
