HILLARY’S CAMPAIGN OFF AND FALLING APART ALREADY?

Desert Musings:

Nobody out there ever accused Hillary Clinton of being the smartest person in the room. Hell, nobody out there ever accused her of being the smartest POLITICIAN in the room. And that’s for good reason. She’s a terrible politician. And when you’re running for president, you need to be a great politician. It’s like if you or I decided we were going to race NASCARS. Oh sure, it looks like fun, but get strapped into those babies and try tailgating someone at 190 miles an hour. You’d chicken out before you got there, trust me (I know!).

So it should be no surprise to any of us that Hillary Clinton is having problems already in her “campaign” which really isn’t a campaign yet. She’s had members of her inner circle walk away shaking their head, and she hasn’t even announced. The Priorities USA super-pac, the group that helped propel Obama to the White House twice, has really fallen short of it’s goal to raise $500 million for Hillary. They wanted to have $30 million in pledges from 30 people (and yes…that’s $1 million each) to be unveiled when Hillary announces her campaign. Uh….that’s not going to happen. They only have commitments from 10 people thus far, and the others aren’t lining up waiting to jump on the band wagon.

Apparently, all of those stories that she’s locked down all of the money on the Democratic side aren’t true (imagine! Hillary NOT telling the truth about something?). Apparently, the donors are staying away right now because they’re fearful that the Arkansas Princess is going to have the same crash and burn results she did eight years ago. Politically, Hillary has been described as “being out of shape and at a loss for policy”. All she can tell you right now is, she wants to be president. Yeah, so does my grandson, and nobody is donating to his campaign either!

I would have to say that while Hillary may be scaring people away on the Democratic side from actually getting into the race, she’s a LONG way away from having a serious campaign herself. Oh, she’s got a lot of people that have signed on. And a lot of those people have a lot of presidential campaign experience. But then again, her husband spent two terms in the White House. That shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. What IS a surprise is that she can’t seem to get out of first gear. Want my take as to why she’s thinking of postponing announcing her candidacy until July? She sees the writing on the wall. She knows the money isn’t there like she thought it was. Elizabeth Warren’s stock is growing day by day, and Hillary’s is shrinking somewhat. And even if she wins the Democratic nomination, she’s going to face the battle of her life in the general. And that’s a battle she’s not ready to face. She’s pudgy, out of shape (physically and politically), and she’s too much about making money at this point. The American people are going to leave her in droves when she opens her mouth with stupid comments like “Corporations don’t create jobs”, and “We were dead broke when we left the White House”.

Keep it up Hillary…keep it up!
