“Going on the Sunday shows is not my favorite thing to do,” Hillary Clinton admitted in January 2013, confessing that “there are other things that I prefer to do on Sunday mornings.” (And, as we’ve learned from the release of selected emails, Clinton likes to sleep in on days when the president is holding a briefing on the lethal Benghazi terrorist attack.)
It’s a good thing, then, that former U.N. ambassador Susan Rice won’t hesitate to get up early to appear on five different Sunday shows on the same day if it means explaining to the American people how a “disgusting and reprehensible” anti-Muslim YouTube video inspired those spontaneous Benghazi attacks.
Fast-forward to June 2015, and GOP deputy press secretary James Hewitt is pointing followers to a clip of current White House National Security Advisor Susan Rice again straining credulity, this time on Bloomberg TV’s “With All Due Respect,” crediting Secretary of State Clinton with helping to end two wars.
“First of all, in the first term, we were able to bring to conclusion two long and costly wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. And she [Clinton] was very much involved in supporting those transitions,” Rice said. No, really:
