Over the last few years Americans seem to be receiving a clear message, flying Old Glory could not only be offensive to some people and therefore deemed inappropriate (or even racist) but punishable by law as well.

Most Americans remember a day when patriotically flying the American flag brought the US together with warm feelings for a nation loved. Today, however, Americans are forced to worry if their proud display of loyalty will either offend someone or land them in trouble with the law.

The latest of innumerable flag-flying controversies comes from Henderson, NV, when an Army veteran was told that the flag he had proudly been displaying at his apartment complex couldn’t be displayed the way it had been for the last 3 years.

“You may have seen Ken Jackson’s giant American flag being flown at the Crystal Creek apartment complex, located at Green Valley Parkway and Warm Springs Road,” reportsFox5 News.  The management at Crystal Creek have now decided that Jackson can no longer fly his flag the way he wants to or face a fine of $25 a month until he complies.

By no means is Jackson the first to face opposition when it comes to the American flag. In June Rhode Island Firefighters were compared to ISIS terrorists for flying American flags of their trucks.

“They look like a bunch of yahoos,” Fred Gralinski of the Central Coventry Fire District said at a board meeting. “Like in the paper, like ISIS in Syria going to take over a city. I don’t think they need that big flag on the back of the truck. That’s not America to me. Those are a bunch of terrorists. So, I’m going to ask you to take the flag off that truck.”

Wow, Really?

Let’s not forget the student from Fruita, Colorado, who was told that students could no longer fly any flags from their vehicles, including the American Flag. Even it was banned.

“They said we can’t fly a Mexican flag, Confederate flag, American flag, any flag at all,” senior Paxton Streeter complained to NBC 11. “I feel very disrespected that we cannot fly our country’s flag in our own country.”

This controversy started because a student, senior Colt Chatfield, came to school displaying the Confederate Flag, a flag he had on his vehicle all year. When Chatfield became defiant about removing the flag he was threatened that unless he did so he would lose his graduation rights.

“I don’t see how you can pull someone’s right to walk in graduation because they were being patriotic,” Fruita senior Keegan Bogart said. “My buddy was kicked out for having [a flag] in his truck, and they threatened to expel Colt Chatfield for it, and they told all seniors that they would not walk [in graduation] if we continued to display flags in the school’s parking lot.”

The school denied threatening the students but did say the request was made because some flags are “offensive” to some students, and because they were a “safety” issue.

The American Flag is a safety issue?

In Georgia a man was threatened with jail time and ticketed for refusing to take down a flag he had been proudly flying for more than 30 years outside his automotive repair shop.

“It’s been there for 30 years,” Tom Gieryic told Fox News. “She told me my flag was in the city’s right of way.”

After a few retired Marines came to the auto shop and offered to replace the old flag with a new one, that’s when the trouble started.

A code enforcement officer met Gieryic at his shop and told him to either remove Old Glory or be faced with fines.

“I was shocked, man – a complete loss for words,” he recounted. “I told her I wasn’t going to be moving my flag.”

If he did not comply, Gieryic was told that he could face 60 days in jail and be fined $1000 a day.

 

Harassing, ticketing, threatening jail time, fining and being called terrorists, patriots are bewildered and angry by it all. What once was considered a proud exhibition for Love of Country now seems to be policed, shunned and even being called a racist statement or terrorism by some stretch of the imagination.

 

So, while we still can, FLY’EM IF YOU GOT’EM!

He and Hillary want it that way, that way the big blue circle with the white stars of the North American Union will replace Our worthy wonderful flag…. Folks were in trouble.

  4. How sad.
    That’s it. As soon as I can afford it, we’re buying a nice American flag and a way to fly it properly. We live way out in the country. Unfortunately, very few will see it but I’ll know it’s there. I haven’t owned an American flag since Ronaldus Magnamus left office. Saw this coming when the first Bush took office that’s why we left the Big City. Our nation has been sliding to PC hell every since the 90’s.
    Like I’ve been saying, this is a spiritual war. Now it’s becoming very physical. We took God out of the schools, and since nature abhors a vacuum, the devil slipped right into place. I didn’t make the connection between the One Worlder’s and the anti-flag people until the comment above, but it makes perfect sense.

  6. It all has to do w/ the ‘Insanity Claus’ of the Globalist Lorra, sadly. Back at the Tower of Babel, Nimrod (possessed by the spirit of the god of this world – the serpent) was performing the same thing back then: one world, without Nations. God liked the idea of Nations (sense it was HIS Idea) so He intervened and confounded their language: ‘confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.’ That’s where the different languages came to be (not the lie imagery of the neanderthal caveman sitting around a rock fire pit figuring it out for themselves! that the evolutionist promote – which are of the Nimrod spirit). After ALL these years it’s back again – ‘And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.’ Gen 11:1 (KJV). And the same mission: ‘And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.’ Gen 11:6 Now we have all this high tech, CERN, HAARP (geo weather engineering) and Common Core education, transhumanism, trans-gender indoctrination in Kindergarten! {Schools are already disassociating kids from their parents.}
    Like the dismissing of the Flag, the Bible was taken out in the ’60s, so few even know what the Tower was all about. Like the twin towers that were ‘conveniently’ taken down bringing in the Patriot Act (oxymoron) [btw isn’t it something that those supposed jets could be off track for a hour or so and nothing be done about it by the air controllers notifying whoever?!!], so goes the Flag. The military see their Flag badge has been flipped horizontal. That’s symbolic of what the corrupt elites are doing to ‘social condition’ it out and bring in their idea of the new and improved reality – which doesn’t include the flag. If they have to use the CIA’s ISIS to do emotional bend people minds into submission, so be it. Notice it’s only a few who complain about American traditions, who the Regime use to crush the freedoms and liberties of the many – those few staged/paid/sponsored by the usurpers, just like the many false flags, hoaxes and hollywood drills made to look real by the propaganda media! Glad you brought this subject up Lorra, because it’s a big dominos piece that evil ruling powers that be are using to bring to ashes what is, so that their spiritual Phoenix bird can rise up in the new order that they’ve been planning for years, their twist minded Utopia! When warped Globalist run the gov. their mission is reconstruction of America and no one gets in leadership positions unless their on that team.

May I also add, our only defense to this is “spiritual war” is to keep witnessing for Jesus Christ that more may be saved, and continue to fight (physically, if necessary) for our God given liberties.   8. The past eight years have been nightmarish to us abiding patriotic citizens. This is America, and this flag represents our freedom, for which our founding fathers fought in order to secure said freedom. I served proudly under this symbol of Democracy.The government has caved in to the PC Police. Soon, you won’t be able to sneeze in public, as it might be deemed offensive to a certain culture. Well, tough. You don’t like our flag, because it offends you, well, why in the world are you still residing in this country? Who asked you to move here? Were you lured by our benefits, which you tend to enjoy so much, or were you persecuted in your own country? In any case, stop your complaining, and sniffling, get your act together, acclimate to our way of living, and be grateful that we have a government that allows you to voice your opinion. This does not give you the righto dictate what we can, and can not do. Get over it. We are sick and tired of you. If this response offends you, too bad. Your unpatriotic behavior does offend me. God Bless America.

  9. To much political correctness going on…you let someone tell me/us not to fly the American and Marine Corp flags and we will have an issue. Umm…a slight correctness, in California, on Cinco de Mayo day, one can not wear or display the American flag on school grounds. It offends or might offend the Mexicans. (shaking my head)
