President Putin’s Ban of Religious Freedom, Should American’s Be Concerned?

Many American’s are aware, and should be concerned, that President Vladimir Putin recently placed severe restrictions on religious freedoms in Russia making any evangelism or religious speech outside of churches forbidden. Any Christian wishing to share their faith outside of a designated worship center will be breaking the law.

This so-called anti-terrorism legislation not only attacks religious liberty, it demolishes free-speak and makes it a crime. “This new situation,” according to Dr. Haukka, President of Great Commission Media Ministries, “resembles the Soviet Union in 1929. At that time confession of faith was permitted only in church. Practically speaking, we are back in the same situation. These anti-terrorist laws are some of the most restrictive laws in post-Soviet history.”

Suppressing the rights of assembly, speech and the press, to name a few, seem routine in Moscow but many believe this has gone too far. This new legislation strikes fear among Christian Russians believing that unregistered congregations and house groups will be targeted and persecuted, according to Christian Today.

“According to Forum 18, which monitors religious freedom in Russia and former Soviet republics, the amendments to the Religion Law restrict those who can share beliefs to people with permission from members of state-registered religious groups and organizations…They also prohibit even the informal sharing of beliefs, for example responding to questions or comments.”

Any breach of this new law, effective July 20, will lead to substantial monetary penalties.

U.S. Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) wrote an article at The Daily Signal stating the new law is “an affront to free people everywhere.”

“We need to begin telling the truth about an increasingly aggressive actor in global affairs,” he said. “This Russian law would be an affront to free people everywhere—at home and abroad—who believe that rights of conscience—the rights to free speech and to freedom of religion—are pre-political.”

As of yet “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”

U.S. Constitution, First Amendment

Suppressing speech and the media, not to mention Political Correctness, seems to be the growing trend in America. Should American’s have reason for concern that this “anti-terrorist” law someday be our reality?

Raymond Ibrahim: Obama’s Christianity — A Political Tool to Silence Christians

dApril 15, 2015

Jihad Watch:

Here in the United States, where Americans are used to hearing their president always invoke Christianity in a manner that silences Christians, United Kingdom Prime Minister David Cameron’s recent Easter message was moderately refreshing.

Among other things, Cameron made it a point to say “that we should feel proud to say, ‘This is a Christian country.’ Yes, we’re a nation that embraces, welcomes and accepts all faiths and none, but we are still a Christian country.”

The context of Cameron’s statement, it should be recalled, is a UK with a large, intolerant, and aggressive Muslim populace—a populace that increasingly seeks to treat the UK’s indigenous Christians the way the Islamic world’s indigenous Christians are habitually treated, that is, subjugated, enslaved, raped, and murdered.

In fact, Cameron touched on the phenomenon of Christian persecution in mostly Muslim lands:

We have a duty to speak out about the persecution of Christians around the world too.  It is truly shocking that in 2015 there are still Christians being threatened, tortured, even killed because of their faith.  From Egypt to Nigeria, Libya to North Korea.  Across the Middle East Christians have been hounded out of their homes, forced to flee from village to village; many of them forced to renounce their faith or brutally murdered.  To all those brave Christians in Iraq and Syria who practice their faith or shelter others, we will say, “We stand with you.”

While one may argue that Cameron is all talk—after all, the UK’s foreign policies, like America’s, have only exacerbated the plight of Christians in the Middle East—it is still refreshing to hear such honest talk, since here in the U.S., one seldom gets even that from President Obama.

Consider what Obama—who is on record saying “we are no longer a Christian nation,” who never notes the Islamic identity of murderers or the Christian identity of their victims, and who ignored a recent UN session on Christian persecution—had to say about Christians at the Easter Prayer Breakfast:  “On Easter, I do reflect on the fact that as a Christian, I am supposed to love.  And I have to say that sometimes when I listen to less than loving expressions by Christians, I get concerned.”

This is in keeping with his earlier statements calling on Americans in general Christians in particular to be nonjudgmental and instead to have “humility” and “doubt” themselves.  For example, during the National Prayer Breakfast last February, after Obama alluded to the atrocities committed by the Islamic State—which include beheadings, crucifixions, rape, slavery, and immolations—he said:

I believe there are a few principles that can guide us, particularly those of us who profess to believe. And, first, we should start with some basic humility.  I believe that the starting point of faith is some doubt—not being so full of yourself and so confident that you are right and that God speaks only to us, and doesn’t speak to others, that God only cares about us and doesn’t care about others, that somehow we alone are in possession of the truth.

Humility, of course, is a well-recognized Christian virtue.  It is the exact opposite of pride; a modest if not humble opinion of oneself, one’s shortcomings.   But what does exercising humility have to do with our understanding of Islamic violence and terrorism, which was, after all, the topic Obama was discussing immediately before he began pontificating about humility?  Are we not to judge and condemn Islamic violence—since we’re apparently no better, as the president made clear when he told Christians to get off their “high horse” and remember the Crusades and Inquisition?

Furthermore, while Christian humility encourages self-doubt, it does not encourage doubt concerning right and wrong, good and evil.  The same Christ who advocated humility repeatedly condemned evil behavior, called on people to repent of their sins, and hurled tables in righteous anger… Keep reading

[GRAPHIC] ISIS Hangs Gruesome Display from Metal Frame at City Entrance

dMarch 7, 2015

Mad World News: Just as Muhammad perfected the art of slaughter, the Islamic State has utilized ancient terror tactics to discourage any resistance. Part of this barbaric strategy requires the most gruesome, hellish displays, showing the world that they are a force with which to be reckoned.

One of these displays has attracted attention and outrage across the globe.

Whether bragging about their most recent conquest or simply attempting to warn residents of their fate for disobeying Sharia, ISIS insurgents hanged eight dead bodies from the metal frame at the entrance of Kirkuk province in Iraq, the Daily Mail reports.

The hanged men were tied by their feet, swinging below the black flag of ISIS on the awning above in the town of Hawija.

The horrific photos first appeared on social media, revealing the Islamic State’s latest public display of barbarity, according to the Daily Mail.

A man believed to be Abu al-Rahman is pictured near the display with a one-fingered salute, acknowledging that Allah is one and there is no trinity.

Al-Rahman has been previously photographed alongside rows of severed heads.

He was also pictured with armed, masked insurgents believed to be ISIS fighters.

Although shocking, it is not the first gruesome display erected to discourage residents from rising up. Reports of the severed heads of children placed on a fence in a park in Mosul were posted to horrify the families of the slaughtered children.

ISIS’s sick obsession with savage butchery is no new aspect of Islam. The Islamic Prophet Muhammad is believed to have beheaded nearly 800 men and boys, and at least one woman, at a single time.

The Muslim Ottoman Empire used impalement throughout most of its tyrannical reign, displaying the skewered bodies of their enemies around the cities as a warning to non-Muslims. This same type of cruelty was nearly revived when a Muslim woman petitioned the Islamic State to impale Jordanian pilot Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh. However, ISIS opted for a more Muhammadan death by burning him alive.

Liberals and Concervatives Lock Horns As Mormon Church Proclaims It’s Support of Legal Gay And Lesbian Protections

(Screenshot Credit, YouTube)

January 29, 2015

By Lorra B.

On Tuesday, the Mormon Church (LDS) proclaimed their support the for public accommodation, housing and job protections for gays and lesbians, although just seven years ago the LDS sought to prohibit gay marriage in California.

Trying to fight the battle of same-sex marriage while trying to steer clear of the ‘anti-gay’ label proved difficult for the LDS and they suffered a severe backlash and the Mormon-backed referendum, Prop 8, failed.

The Mormon Church’s support will be given, their leaders say, as long as freedoms of religious groups who appose these measures are protected. The LDS wants the government and gay rights advocates to get off their backs.

Quorum of Twelve Apostles, Elder Dallin Oaks stated, “When religious people are publicly intimidated, retaliated against, forced from employment or made to suffer personal loss because they have raised their voice in the public square, donated to a cause or participated in an election, our democracy is the loser.”

Oaks went on to say, “Such tactics are every bit as wrong as denying access to employment, housing or public services because of race or gender…We must learn to live with others who do not share the same beliefs or values.”

But the legal director of the Human Rights Campaign based in Washington, Sarah Warbelow, has a different take on the church’s position and said it seemed ‘deeply flawed.’

“Symbolically, seeing the church leaders advocating so openly for these protections will no doubt be deeply meaningful to Mormon Families with LGBT members, and provide encouragement to LGBT youth in the church…nondiscrimination protections only function when they are applied equally.”

Fred Sainz, another spokesman for the Human Rights Campaign, stated, “As a matter of policy, there’s no ‘there’ there. The so-called religious exemption is the size of five Mack trucks. It entirely neuters their proposal.”

Sainz did say, however, that the announcement by the LDS will still have an impact. “In the relationship…between Mormon families and their LGBT children and LGBT friends, I have no doubt that this will be deeply meaningful…From the perspective of symbolism, this is a step forward in the continued acceptance of LBGT people by the church.”

Married Utah State Senator, Jim Dabakis, who is openly gay, states his take on the proposal. “As long as:’ It’s the whole enchilada or nothing,’ as long as you’re using rhetoric to rev up your base…and not involved in saying: ‘Let’s find that common ground,’ when you find that kind of good will, like the church has…it’s a golden moment and that’s where we need to be going in America,” reported to The Washington Post.

Less than a third of U.S. states have laws that protect LGBTs, according to GLAD, a gay rights group.

“It is unlikely that Mormons’ support of those measures could increase that number significantly, except perhaps in church strongholds like Utah, Idaho and Wyoming,” reports CNN. “There are 16 Mormons in Congress, where LGBT civil rights legislation, including ENDA, has repeatedly failed.”

In an emailed response to faith activists, Lance Walker, of the LDS church’s Washington advocacy office, stated, “This appeal for a balanced approach between religious and gay rights does not represent a change or shift in doctrine for the Church. It does represent a desire to bring people together, to encourage mutually respectful dialogue in what has become a highly polarized national debate.”

Two things seem certain in this latest LDS development; politicians have been at a loss of how to address the new Mormon Churches support of gay and lesbian rights and the liberals and conservatives have been locking horns.

‘I Did Not Go To Heaven’: Paralyzed Boy Admits He Made Up Best-Selling Book About How He Ascended To Paradise and Met Jesus After Car Wreck

January 16, 2015

Daily Mail:

He says he concocted the tale in an attempt to attract attention after his ordeal – and is now criticizing publishers who continue to make large profits from the book.

His parents say the family, who live in Huntsville, Ohio,  does not receive money from the book.

In an open letter addressed to ‘Sellers, buyers and marketers’ of his book, Alex wrote: ‘I did not die. I did not go to heaven.’

‘I said I went to heaven because I thought it would get me attention. When I made the claims that I did, I had never read the Bible. People have profited from lies, and continue to.’

Many Christian publishers are now announcing that they will stop selling the book.

The book is one of three ‘real-life’ tales of paradise on sale at Christian book stores – 90 Minutes in Heaven and Heaven is for Real are the others.

Alex is still severely disabled and is cared for by his family at home. His mother has also previously suggested that the book was made up and insists that the family receives no money from its sale.

She wrote on her blog in April last year: ‘There are many who are scamming and using the Word of God to do it.’

‘It is both puzzling and painful to watch the book The Boy who Came Back from Heaven to not only continue to sell, but to continue, for the most part, to not be questioned.

‘THE GATE WAS REALLY TALL’: ALEX’S MADE-UP DESCRIPTION OF HEAVEN

The book describes heaven thus:

‘When I arrived in heaven, I was inside the gate. The gate was really tall, and it was white.

It was very shiny, and it looked like it had scales like a fish. I was in the inner heaven and everything was brighter and more intense on the inside of the gate. It was perfect.

Perfect is my favourite word for describing heaven.’

Alex also describes in the book how he floated above the scene of his crash and talked to Jesus while firefighters extricated his body from the wreckage.

Controversial tale: In the letter, Alex criticizes publishers who profit from his book. His mother, left, says the family does not receive any money from the sales. He is now 16.

‘The Boy Who Came Back from Heaven’: A ‘true’ account

She insists that her son ‘has not received monies from the book nor have a majority of his needs been funded by it.’

And she adds that Alex previously told a pastor that the book was made up, but was told the publication was ‘blessing’ people and to stay quiet.

She concludes: ‘The ones making money from the book are NOT the ones staying up through the night, struggling for their breath, or were they the ones at six years old, waking up unable to move or breathe and in a strange place after last remember seeing a car coming right at the car he was riding in’

Alex lives in Ohio with his mother, his father who works as a counsellor, and his two brothers and one sister.

Alex’s letter continues his attack on Christian booksellers

He wrties:”They should read the Bible, which is enough. The Bible is the only source of truth. Anything written by man cannot be infallible.’

Did Pope Francis Just Defend Muslim Terrorists?

January 16, 2015

Mad World News:

Pope Francis has taken the stage to speak about the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack that claimed the lives of innocent people in Paris, France last week. The leader of the Catholic Church has uttered words that seemed to take the side of the Islamic extremists and could potentially lead to more senseless killings.

“If my good friend Dr. Gasparri says a curse word against my mother, he can expect a punch,” Francis said half-jokingly, throwing a mock punch his way. “It’s normal. You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others.”

Pope Francis says those who ridicule others’ religions should ‘expect a punch’ http://ind.pn/1Aj0H6v

To equate horrific murders in the streets of Paris to a “punch” is hardly comparable. This would be the time for the Pope to speak out against this sort of behavior and to condemn the killing of innocent lives.

I find it troublesome to hear Pope Francis speaking about limits on freedom of expression, especially in regards to a religion that calls for the death of people who do not convert to Islam. This is a religion that advocates for the polar opposite of peace and harmony, with no regard for human life.

Montgomery Co. Schools Remove References to Religious Holidays From Calendar

November 12, 2014

A Conservative Christian Man: Paul H. Lemmen

Students in Montgomery County will still have off from school on Christmas and Yom Kippur — but the school calendar will no longer call those holidays “Christmas” or “Yom Kippur.” News4’s Chris Gordon reports.

Montgomery school 2

Students in Montgomery County will still have off from school on Christmas and Yom Kippur — but the school calendar will no longer call those holidays “Christmas” or “Yom Kippur.”

The county’s Board of Education voted Tuesday afternoon to remove any mentions of any religious holidays on the calendar next school year.

Montgomery County School Board considers eliminating references to religious holidays on their calendar next year. News4’s Chris Gordon explains why.

The issue stemmed from the schools being closed for Jewish holidays but not for Muslim ones.
The Muslim holiday of Eid Al Adha coincides with Yom Kippur on Sept. 23, 2015.

Since schools do not close for Muslim holidays, Montgomery County Schools Superintendent Joshua Starr recommended the Board of Education eliminate the references to Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur on the 2015-2016 calendar.

The board voted to approve the recommendation Tuesday.

Montgomery school

County executive Ike Leggett said Monday he would have taken a different tactic if the decision were up to him.

“I would simply add Eid to the existing holidays they already have without substituting any other holidays,” Leggett said.

Parent Samira Hussein, who is also a school employee, has campaigned for the past 20 years to have the Muslim holiday added to the school calendar.

“The Eid is just the same exact as Christmas day or Easter day or Yom Kippur,” she said. “The children want to home with their families. This is a family holiday that God designated and gave us the time to celebrate and be joyous.”

Montgomery County Public Schools have closed for the Jewish high holidays since the 1970s because of the county’s large Jewish population in the county would create a high absenteeism rate in the county.

County officials say the size of the county’s Muslim population doesn’t warrant closing schools.
“High absenteeism is the main reason” for schools being closed on the Jewish high holidays, said Dana Tofig with Montgomery County Public Schools. “The absentee rate on the Eid holidays, when they’ve fallen on a school day, haven’t been considerably higher or lower than it is on any other given day.”

Muslim groups who want equality for Eid said that they didn’t think the Jewish holidays should be removed from the calendar.

“What we’re asking for is… to also have both the Jewish holiday and the Muslim holiday Eid Al Adha both be recognized on the school calendar,” said Zainab Chaudry of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Muslim students said they can fall behind when they celebrate Eid.

Allah In The Classroom — The ABC’s Of Forced Conversion

November 6, 2014

Our children are our world as parents. They are the future of our nation. Most of us would gladly sacrifice all we have and our lives for our little ones. So, why do we so readily hand their learning and their care over to those that would abuse them and trick them into being part of the greatest evil the world has ever known? It figures that the young, innocent ones would be a prime target for Islam and are what they term, ‘fertile ground’ for their broken philosophy. Between such programs as Common Core, Connect All Schools and CSCOPE, CAIR has been ensuring that the textbooks that teach our children go out of their way to teach Islamic history and to have the children indoctrinated into Islam. CAIR has even gotten textbooks in private schools, charter schools and home schooling programs to include their revisionist history.

The Islamization of the curriculum and the school room itself in American schools is thoroughly covered by Pamela Geller at Atlas shrugs in her book: Stop the Islamization of America. Do buy and read the book and then home school your children after reviewing their ordered teaching materials. You should not be surprised either that Qatar is heavily vested in all this – they fund Connect All Schools and Common Core. On October 24th and 25th, hundreds of schools, leadership teams, and teachers from across the region gathered in Dubai, to learn about the Common Core State Standards, share curricula and best practices, and network with each other. Ask yourselves, why Dubai? Surely, Bill Gates and Jeb Bush know, since they are helping to fund it as well. They are very cozy with the Islamic states – all that money and power – motivation for selling out our children and country many times over.

Across America, in over 100 schools now, in Social Studies and World History classes, the proselytizing for Islam is being pushed and hard. It does not include the 1,400 year history of Jihadi wars, land appropriations, cultural genocide and enslavement, not to mention the extermination of the entire Jewish Banu Qurayza tribe of Arabia, as Pamela Geller puts it. What it does include, and what I find infuriating beyond words, is the Shahada and the Five Pillars of Islam. The Shahada is an Islamic creed declaring belief in the oneness of God and the acceptance of Muhammad as God’s prophet. It is recited to convert someone to Islam. That’s right… they are actively converting your children to their religion. Now, how do you feel about it? Then the little ones are forced to learn the Five Pillars of Islam.

Here is an example from a textbook (by the way, this has been going on for some time now in the public school system):

Jesus was mentioned once as a Jewish prophet in the first chapter and the second chapter briefly discussed the division within the Christian Church. Chapter three is dedicated completely to Islam and the story of Muhammad, with multiple quotes from the Qur’an throughout the chapter. The book even goes on to say that “. . .Muhammad revealed the purest version of God’s truth” and that Muhammad is the final prophet of God’s truth with the most complete version of that truth.

So much for separation of church and state. Evidently that only applies to other religions, not Islam. Can you imagine how confused the children must be? And those that come from Christian and Jewish homes surely know deep down this is wrong and abhorrent to their faith. The children are having to write and say the Muslim declaration of faith (the Shahada), over and over.

When Muslims force Christians to convert, they are forced to say the Shahada. The Arabic writing on the black flag of Jihad (also known as the al Qaeda flag or ISIS flag) is the Shahada. This is the mantra of supremacism and imperialism that is being forced on American school kids and their families. Children are more susceptible to conversion than adults and if pressed on it are likely to cave to make the teacher happy. After repeated exposure to the ideology, they start to get their thoughts turned around. Soon, they are indoctrinated and sucked into the philosophy, despite the teachings of their church and their parents. Face it… teachers spend a lot of time with your children. By the time a parent knows what is going on, it is too late. And by the time they are in high school, they have aligned with radicals and radical precepts throughout the religion.

A number of parents across America are beginning to wake up to the brainwashing in the schools being foisted on their children. A number of them are saying enough is enough.

Let’s start with the Marine veteran who complained about the pro-Islam bias in his daughter’s schoolwork in Maryland. He was banned from her school for objecting to said bias. It’s his child and his right – we are not the Middle East… not yet, any way.

From the Daily Caller:

A Maryland father who asked that his daughter be excused from learning about Islam in her world history class now finds himself under a no-trespass order that prevents him from setting foot on the girl’s public school campus.

The events leading to the no-trespass order occurred at La Plata High School in La Plata, Md., a small town about 30 miles southeast of Washington, D.C., SoMDNews reports, a website for three local newspapers.

The dad is Kevin Wood, a former corporal and eight-year veteran in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Wood was initially upset because he did not want his daughter, a high school junior, to participate in instruction about Islam.

He called the school district office last week, first speaking to an administrative assistant and eventually speaking to La Plata High vice principal Shannon Morris.

A school district spokeswoman, Katie O’Malley-Simpson, said Wood threatened to cause problems at the school during his conversation with Morris. O’Malley-Simpson provided no specific information about any threats the former Marine made.

“Safety comes first,” she told SoMDNews. “We don’t allow disruptions at the schools, especially if we’re forewarned of them.”

Wood denies making any threats. His version of the conversation is that he explained in no uncertain terms that he does “not believe in” Islam and wants his daughter removed from class while other students study the Muslim religion.

This Marine fought and bled for his country. He has the right to request his child not be subjected to Islamic indoctrination. I believe him when he says he made no threats. He was treated like this because he was military and because he would not comply. I suggest he remove his child from this school and find another educational venue, post haste.

The Marine is not the first, by a long shot, either. In Volusia County, Florida, hundreds protested Islamic lessons in their “World History” text, a Common Core-approved high school history textbook. It would have been thousands if all parents knew and grasped exactly what was being taught to their children in the name of Allah.

In Massachusetts, another public school got caught teaching the Shahada to students. Their textbook also celebrates Muhammad’s life. You can bet it doesn’t celebrate Jesus’ life, because you know… that would be bad.

From Yahoo! News:

Millions of students in public schools don’t understand fractions or pronouns at even a basic level but students in the oceanfront Boston suburb of Revere, Mass. are taking the time to learn all about Islam — in the most embarrassingly shallow and cheerleading way imaginable.

Part of the textbook prints the Muslim Call to Prayer, according to Boston NBC affiliate WHDH.

“I bear witness that there is no God but Allah,” it says.

The textbook portion also reverently celebrates Muhammad’s life.

“Muhammad never expected to change world,” the admiring, rah-rah textbook reads.

“Muhammad later tended sheep on the dry hills like many young Arabians,” the text explains. “Later he became a successful merchant and married a wealthy widow. However, he felt as though something was missing in his life, so he went on a retreat.”

The founder of Islam was “upset about the cruelty of his people,” the text also optimistically explains. They “killed baby girls.” They “treated their slaves unkindly.” And “Muhammad had a strong sense of right and wrong.”

One local parent, Anthony Giannino, is upset about the textbook’s treatment of the Muslim religion.

“No religion should be taught in school,” Giannino told WHDH. “It says Allah is their only God. That’s insulting to me as a Christian who believes in just Jesus only.”

“We don’t believe in Allah. I don’t believe in my son learning about this here,” Giannino added. “If my son was from another country and came here, he would have been catered to.”

The mad dad said he pulled his son out of his elementary school when he found out about the textbook’s treatment of Islam.

Other parents say they don’t see what the problem is.

“What is Muslim about? What is Christianity about? That’s what I teach at home,” parent Idalia Garcia told the Fox station. “Everybody should respect everybody else’s religion.”

The school district superintendent has since penned a letter to parents assuring them that the congratulatory statements about Islam are merely part of the district’s history curriculum.

It goes on… in California, parents are also pulling their son from a classroom at Manhattan Beach Middle School for teaching the tenets Islam:

The father said, “The audacity of this school, to think that they can sit these children down and teach ’em whatever religion they please; it’s preposterous. This is illegal, basically. You can’t teach religion in schools any more, but apparently, in this particular school, at least, that’s not the case.”

Parents said they discovered that what their children were learning about Islam was more about the tenets of the faith than the history of the religion, according to KTLA. One question asked the students to write down teachings from the Koran.

The father continued, “What I saw written in these bubbles was, ‘The one true God, Allah’ in one of the bubbles. In one of the other bubbles was ‘All people must submit to Allah,’ in another bubble. The I turned the page over and I see the five pillars of Islam.”

The parents assert that the students should be taught the history behind the religions, whether it is Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, or others, but not the tenets of the faith.

Father: “Can you imagine the outcry all over this country if children were bringing home paperwork that asked them to write down John 3:16, or asked them to write down the 10 Commandments?”

Mother: “And if it ended with the Declaration of the Faith, Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior? That’s what the equivalent, I mean, part of us, for our son? We’d be happy about that.”

Father: “But some parents may not be.”

The parents talked to the principal, but the school refused to change the schoolwork, prompting the parents to remove their son from the class. The school would not respond to questions from KTLA.

In Tennessee, the abhorrent Nation of Islam has even gotten into the schools. At least two reports have come in that third graders have received Nation of Islam propaganda:

A second parent has now come forward acknowledging their child received a Nation of Islam “handout” in a third grade class at Harold McCormick Elementary School in Elizabethton, Tennessee – contradicting claims by the school district that the document was not distributed in the classroom.

I first told you about this story on Monday. Parent Sommer Bauer told me her son’s teacher gave him a document that portrayed the presidents on Mount Rushmore as being racists.

We still don’t know how that Nation of Islam information found its way into that third grade classroom.

School superintendent E.C. Alexander refuted allegations that the Nation of Islam document had been distributed in class. He told me the document was never meant for public distribution and that the child took the sheet of paper from the teacher’s work station without her permission.

“The student (without permission) took the sheet from a “ton” of discarded teacher’s material on that table; then, the student took it home and gave it to the parent,” Alexander wrote in an email to educators after my column was published.

Supt. Alexander also posted a statement on the school district’s website. He hurled all sorts of allegations my way – words like “misleading” and “totally incorrect” and “sensational.”

Yet, he never got around to telling us what was misleading or totally incorrect or sensational. And we still don’t know how that Nation of Islam information found its way into that third grade classroom.

[…]

So what happened inside that third grade classroom at Harold McCormick Elementary School?

According to the parent, the children were separated into four groups. Each group was given two “sheets of paper.”

“The teacher held up each one and said, ‘These do not go home. These are just to use here,” the parent told me.

The Nation of Islam “sheet ” explained that George Washington hailed from Virginia, a “prime breeder of black people.” Of Theodore Roosevelt, it was alleged he called Africans “ape-like.” There were also disparaging comments made about Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln.

The parent told me that the teacher did not teach students from the Nation of Islam “sheet.” But she did hand it to the students.

This is the active Mosqueing of our schools – turning them into Madrassas. Even in Massachusetts, the home of the Boston Marathon bombing, you see a Muslim promoted to Captain in the Boston Police force and the Shahada being recited in their schools. The Saudis have bought entire public school textbook publishers — it would seem, even our children’s future is for sale. Todd Starnes of Fox News says there are over 80 textbooks across the nation teaching and promoting this bias.

Islam has slaughtered, tortured, raped and enslaved millions. As recently as the 1990s, I had never seen a hijab or a burka. I had never seen a mosque. Now they are everywhere and our schools have been infested with a violent ideology that covets the souls of our children. Allah has no place in our classrooms and these forced and subversive conversions of children are evil and despicable. Get your children out of public schooling whatever it takes. Even if you have them in private school, charter schools or home schooling, you better take the time to review their textbooks and talk to your children. Their lives and the future of the nation depends on it.

Commission Says Christian Business Owners Should Leave Their Religion at Home

imageedit_9_4517098207October 9, 2014

Fox News Todd Starnes : The Human Rights Commission in Lexington, Kentucky has a chilling message for Christian business owners who refuse service to LGBT organizations: leave your religion at home.

“It would be safe to do so, yes,” Executive Director Raymond Sexton told me. “Or in this case you can find yourself two years down the road and you’re still involved in a legal battle because you did not do so.”

On Tuesday, a Lexington Human Rights Commission hearing examiner issued a recommended ruling that the owner of a T-shirt company violated a local ordinance against sexual-orientation discrimination. You can read the ruling by clicking here

Take just a moment and let that sink in – a Christian business owner is being ordered to attend diversity training – because of his religious beliefs. That’s a pretty frightening concept and a mighty dangerous precedent.

“It was a landmark decision,” Sexton said. “This is a very important ruling for us.”

The examiner concluded that Blaine Adamson of Hands On Originals broke the law in 2012 by declining to print shirts promoting the Lexington Pride Festival. The Gay and Lesbian Services Organization subsequently filed a complaint.

Alliance Defending Freedom, a law firm that specializes in religious liberty cases, represented Adamson, a devout Christian.

“No one should be forced by the government or by another citizen to endorse or promote ideas with which they disagree,” said ADF attorney Jim Campbell. “Blaine declined to the request to print the shirts not because of any characteristic of the people who asked for them, but because of the message that the shirts would communicate.”

Christians

ADF also pointed out that Hands On Originals has a history of doing business with the LGBT community as well has hiring LGBT workers.

But Sexton told me the law is the law. And in Lexington it’s against the law to discriminate against the LGBT community – regardless of religious beliefs.

“We’re not telling someone how to feel with respect to religion, but the law is pretty clear that if you operate a business to the public, you need to provide your services to people regardless of race, color, sex and in this case sexual orientation,” Sexton said.

The hearing examiner recommended the following punishment:

First, Hands On Originals cannot discriminate against individuals because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. In other words, the T-shirt company must service LGBT customers – no questions asked.

The examiner also ordered Adamson to attend “diversity training” conducted by – wait for it – the Lexington Human Rights Commission.

Take just a moment and let that sink in – a Christian business owner is being ordered to attend diversity training – because of his religious beliefs. That’s a pretty frightening concept and a mighty dangerous precedent.

“That is certainly one of the dangers of an order like that – for the government to step in and order (what is essentially) a re-education of its citizens,” Campbell told me. “That’s a dangerous precedent for the government to engage in.”

In essence, the Human Rights Commission is telling Christian business owners they have to change their religious beliefs. It’s the idea that the government knows best and Christians must reorient their beliefs.

Sexton, who said he is a Christian, said he’s just upholding the law.

“The law in Lexington is pretty clear,” he said. “You cannot discriminate against people on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. Regardless of what your religious beliefs are – if you have a public business – then that’s how you have to operate.”

It seems to me if a Christian business owner does not want to do business with an LGBT organization – that should be their right. And should an LGBT business choose not to do business with a church that should be their right, as well.

There’s no denying there’s a conflict. Even Sexton admits to that.

“Our local law has exemptions for religious organizations,” he said. “However, religious organizations are narrowly defined. You actually have to be some sort of religious institution to get the exemption.”

Meanwhile, a growing number of hardworking Christian business owners are caught in the crosshairs of the culture war.

“There does tend to be a trend toward that,” attorney Campbell told me. “Business owners are being targeted for simply trying to operate their business consistent with their beliefs.”    Todd Starnes

“Banning Word of ALLAH is Liking Banning Word of GOD” Reports AceWorldNews

imageedit_2_2250760853AceWorldNews: South East Asia News      September 18, 2014

The following article was written by AceWorldNews and isn’t about religious beliefs but about censorship and the absurdity of what is being done in Malaysia.

For long, Malaysia has been a multi-religious country where most people can adhere to their own religion even though Islam is the official religion. A state with a history of its diverse faith followers that lived in peace with each other. However, recent years have seen a drastic rise in growing intolerance towards the religious and ethnic minorities.

In recent developments, are the infamous Malay Court Ban limiting the use of the Arabic word Allah for Muslims “ONLY.

The country has come under fire for its systematic evidence of targeting Christian community; the church burnings, grave desecration and the seizure of 300 Bibles. This Bible raid was justified under the Court ruling as it contained the word Allah. Come again.

When one thinks that the word Allah has been used by Malaysians for over 600 years and the name Allah was used in the Gospel printed in Malaysian 400 years ago, we can better comprehend the senselessness and impropriety of this prohibition. Ridiculous:.

The followers of Christ in the Arabian Peninsula, including some 12 million followers of Christianity are using the word Allah without any qualms or statutory rulings.

So why and what is wrong in Malaysian Christians using the word Allah?

The Koran itself is very clear on this subject, by affirming that Muslims should say to Jews and Christians that “our God and your God is one”.

However, many Malay Muslims have a rigid and schematic view of Islam. The challenge is to “educate the masses” and to promote religious freedom. Moreover, the government says Allah should be reserved exclusively for Muslims — who make up nearly two-thirds of the country’s 29 million people — because if other religions use it that could confuse Muslims and lead them to convert.

For crying out loud, is this really happening?

The Allah ban is a direct result of our failure in Nation Building as a peoples. Everyone is responsible for it and everyone should play a role in the reconciliation process. We will have to look back as a nation and ask where did we go wrong. Then from there, we will need to find new creative ways to bridge the cross cultural gaps that led to this point,” says Malaysian human rights defender and Director, Dignity International (an international human rights based organization) Adrian Periera.

On-ground human rights groups have joined hands with Malaysian Catholics in campaigning against this ruling. One good that came out of this inanity, is the renewal of the Malaysians spirit that is seen into coming together as a united force. Needless, the Malays Catholics don’t find themselves alone in this battle and can count on the support of Muslim groups.

Organizations like Sisters in Islam (SIS) and the Front for Islamic revival (IRF) have launched initiatives on social networks to promote accurate information removed from the ideology and propaganda of the government and extremist movements.

God, what is your religion?” This cryptic question, spotted on a T-shirt worn by a Malay Muslim woman demonstrator in a public protest for expressing solidarity with minority Christians over who can use the term ‘Allah’.

This debate has crossed national borders and sparked a debate among Muslims around the world.

In Pakistan, the English daily newspaper Daily Times questioned the ruling, asking why Malaysia would deny people of other faiths to “own God in all His attributes”. Similarly a newspaper in the United Arab Emirates called the court ruling “wrong”, and said the word Allah was never exclusive to Islam but used by both Christians and Jews to refer to God even before the advent of Islam.

“So. My God is not your God. And your God is not mine”

Is this making sense to any sane person within Malaysia and elsewhere? I guess not.

Reza Aslam, Muslim Academic writer said that the world was “laughing” at Malaysia over the court ruling that he described as a political decision more than anything else. “That you can control people’s ideas, their behavior, their faith and their minds simply by trying to control the words that they use, is absurd. It is an embarrassment to a modern, constitutional, democratic and deeply Muslim state like Malaysia,” said the religious scholar.

Indeed, congratulations to Malaysia being the first country to ban God’s name and to limit God to themselves.
