After Chattanooga Shootings And New Al Qaeda Threats, Navy To Arm Sailors At Reserve Centers

dAugust 11, 2015

By Lorra B.

It was Thursday, July 16, when the gunman, 24 year-old Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez, opened fire killing 4 U.S. Marines and 1 Navy sailor and wounded 2 others in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Abdulazeez first opened fire at the military recruiting center and then moved on some 7 miles away to a U.S. Navy facility before he was killed by police. Now, Navy reserve centers throughout the U.S. will be arming its sailors, according to a statement made by officials.

Navy spokesman, Cmdr. William Marks, told Fox News that the decision was made “as a matter of prudent and necessary action toward protecting our personnel.”

“The threat posed to military forces in the United States by homegrown violent extremists has increased.”

The FBI have warned that new threats are being made against our military and their families as Al Qaeda praises the Chattanooga killer for what is considered a job well done.

Although the consent to have trained sailors to protect the facilities is now in affect, the actual date the sailors will begin has not yet been determined. For all military, their families and the grieving families of the victims, the start date can’t be soon enough.

Obama Adds White Men to the List of Causes for His Epic Fails

dJune 24, 2015

The Foxhole:

This is what we’ve come to expect from a pathetic loser who isn’t fit to be in office in the first place.

From Fox News.

We get an insight into the thinking of the president and his party from a WaPo piece on his many frustrations with his administration’s failures on gun control and race relations:

“‘If you are a white man in America, this country is changing dramatically. You have always been in charge,’ said a senior administration official who spoke on the condition of anonymity [to] be candid. ‘So there is something to white men feeling like something has been taken away from them.’”

Not one in 1,000 white males cares about the presence of a Confederate war monument on the grounds of the South Carolina statehouse. Not one in 1 million would share the racist worldview of the Charleston killer. The overwhelming majority are focused on keeping themselves and their families afloat in the face of enormous challenges.

But focusing on them as villains is revealing and attributing the resistance to gun control and other issues as a personal response to Obama’s African heritage is an unintentionally damning revelation.

There’s nothing the president can do about the real issues, so finding and blaming a boogeyman becomes job one.

Just a few days ago he blamed Congress and the entire country. Over the last 7 years, Barky has blamed the GOP, racism, bloggers, America’s founders, technology, George W. Bush, the intelligence community, and a video for his multiple fuck ups.

It’s couldn’t be that he’s a narcissistic sociopath and a corrupt shitbag with an emperor complex.

I’m glad about one thing; if all it takes is being white to stop his assault on the Constitution and civil and individual liberties, I’ll wear that badge with honor. As for the race relations, that’s his fucking fault.

National Archives Leadership Held Serious Concerns About Secretary Clinton’s Secrecy Choices To Avoid Record-Keeping…

dJune 3, 2015

Fox news: Tat tip The Last Refuge:

Over a five-year span, senior officials at the National Archives and Records Administrations (NARA) voiced growing alarm about Hillary Clinton’s record-keeping practices as secretary of state, according to internal documents shared with Fox News.

During Clinton’s final days in office, Paul Wester, the director of Modern Records Programs at NARA – essentially the agency’s chief records custodian – privately emailed five NARA colleagues to confide his fear that Clinton would take her official records with her when she left office, in violation of federal statutes.

Referring to a colleague whose full name is unknown, Wester wrote on December 11, 2012: “Tom heard (or thought he heard) from the Clinton Library Director that there are or may be plans afoot for taking her records from State to Little Rock.” That was a reference to the possibility that Clinton might seek to house her records at the Clinton Presidential Center, which was largely funded by the Clinton Foundation.

“[W]e need to discuss what we know, and how we should delicately go about learning more about…the transition plans for Secretary Clinton’s departure from State,” Wester added. He did not specify why the situation required “delicate” handling, but added that colleagues had “continued to invoke the specter of the Henry Kissinger experience vis-à-vis Hilary [sic] Clinton.”

That was a reference to how the secretary of state during the Nixon and Ford administrations, preparing to leave office in January 1977, stashed large segments of his classified papers on the upstate New York estate of his friend, Vice President Nelson A. Rockefeller. It wasn’t until 2001 that Kissinger relented to demands from scholars and the U.S. government and made the documents available for research.

Under the Federal Records Act, NARA is entrusted with official oversight of Executive Branch agencies and their employees, aimed at ensuring that the records they generate in the discharge of their official duties are being properly preserved and stored.

The Wester email and 72 other internal documents released by NARA and the State Department earlier this month show NARA officers repeatedly expressed concerns that Clinton and her office were not observing the federal laws and regulations that govern recordkeeping – but that NARA never did much about it.

The 73 documents from NARA and State were turned over to Cause of Action, a non-partisan government accountability watchdog that had filed a Freedom of Information Act request in March, after the New York Times revealed that Clinton had exclusively used a private email server and domain name during her tenure as secretary of state. Cause of Action shared the documentswith Fox News on an exclusive basis, ahead of Senate testimony by the group’s executive director, Daniel Epstein.

“Given NARA’s stated concerns,” Epstein said in written testimony submitted this week to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, “it either was aware of the failure to preserve Mrs. Clinton’s emails or was extremely negligent in its efforts to monitor [the preservation of] senior officials’ emails.”

Boston Terror Suspects Plotted To Behead Police Officers, Source Says

dJune 3, 2015

Fox News:

DEVELOPING: The man shot and killed Tuesday by Boston police was plotting with another suspect to behead a cop, a law enforcement source told FoxNews.com

The dead suspect, 26-year-old Usaama Rahim, was under surveillance by the Joint Terrorism Task Force when he was shot at about 7 a.m. near a CVS in the city’s Roslindale neighborhood, when he brandished the blade at police. Later Tuesday, authorities arrested another suspect, David Wright, in connection with the case, police said.

“We believe the intent was to behead a police officer,” one official told The Boston Globe. “We knew the plot had to be stopped. They were planning to take action Tuesday.”

Rahim was shot outside a CVS Pharmacy in Roslindale, Mass. at approximately 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Boston Police Commissioner William Evans told reporters that members of the Joint Terrorism Task Force approached Rahim to question him about “terrorist-related information” they had received when he moved toward officers with the knife.

Evans said officers repeatedly ordered Rahim to drop the knife but he continued to advance. He said task force members fired their guns, hitting Rahim once in the torso and once in the abdomen. Rahim was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Later, the FBI and local police arrested a man at a home in Everett, Mass., in an action authorities said was related to the Roslindale shooting. Christina Diorio-Sterling, a spokeswoman for U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz, said Wright was taken into custody from his home in suburban Everett. She said Wright will face federal charges and is expected to appear in U.S. District Court on Wednesday.

WFXT reported that three different Joint Terrorism Task Force teams had been carrying out 24-hour surveillance on at least three different people in the Boston area, though it was unclear how long that had been going on.The plot may have been inspired by the terror group ISIS, who have repeatedly called on followers in the United States to attack law enforcement officials or military installations.

Evans did not comment on the report that Rahim had been radicalized by ISIS, but said “Obviously, there was enough information there where we thought it was appropriate to question him about his doings … He was someone we were watching for quite a time.”

Evans said the officers didn’t have their guns drawn when they approached Rahim. He said police have video showing Rahim “coming at officers” while they are backing away. That account differs from one given by Rahim’s brother Ibrahim Rahim, who said in a Facebook posting that his youngest brother was killed while waiting at a bus stop to go to his job.

“He was confronted by three Boston Police officers and subsequently shot in the back three times,” he wrote. “He was on his cellphone with my dear father during the confrontation needing a witness.”

There is surveillance video from the scene which will be released after Rahim’s family and civil rights advocates view the footage.

The officer and the agent involved in the shooting weren’t physically injured but were evaluated at a hospital for what Evans described as “stress.”

Counter-Attack Against ISIS In Anbar Province Iraq Announces

Militant Al-Qaeda Splinter Group ISIS Capture Three Towns in Iraq's Western Province Anbar

Militant Al-Qaeda Splinter Group ISIS Capture Three Towns in Iraq’s Western Province Anbar

May 26, 2015

By Lorra B. For Silent Soldier

A military operation by Iraq to push the Islamic State out of the Anbar province was announced on Tuesday.

The western Anbar province is the location where extremists this month captured Ramadi, the provincial capital.

Fear of possible sectarian violence has been ignited by the possibility of an enormous counteroffensive “long the scene of protests and criticism against the Shiite-led government in Baghdad,” reports Fox News.

Iraq’s forces have surrounded Ramadi from all sides. A spokesperson for the Iraqi Shia armed forces stated that the operation “will not last for a long time.”

In “what will surprise the enemy,” according to parliament member Ahmed al-Assadi, are the new weapons being used in this war.

“Still, senior U.S. defense officials at the Pentagon push back on the reports Tuesday morning that the counterattack had begun,” according to Fox News. “Two sources described the actions as ‘shaping operations’ — or battlefield preparations — at this stage.”

In an effort to calm anxieties over statements made by Defense Secretary Ash Carter after he blamed Iraqi forces of having seemingly “no will to fight” in Ramadi, Vice President Joe Biden talked with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi. A few hours later the announcement of the attack came.

The Associated Press was told by a spokesman for Abadi that Carter was given “incorrect information…We should not judge the whole army based on one incident.”

Recognizing “the enormous sacrifice and bravery” being exhibited by Iraqi soldiers over the last 18 months, the White House commented on Monday that they were open to “an Iraqi decision to mobilize additional troops and prepare for counter-attack operations.”

A frustrated Iranian Gen. Qassim Soleimani stated to an Iranian newspaper that the United States [didn’t do] “a damn thing” to stop the advance on Ramadi by ISIS.

“Today, there is nobody in confrontation with [ISIS] except the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as nations who are next to Iran or supported by Iran,” stated Soleimani.

The United States, Soleimani went on to say, was ‘complicit’ in the development of ISIS.

Senate Blocks House Bill on NSA Surveillance, 2-Month Extension

May 23, 2015

The tug-of-war continues on the Patriot Act Saga as the House tries to end the NSA’s bulk surveillance.

Mitch McConnell, the Senate Majority Leader, and Rand Paul, both republicans, butted heads over keeping the program. McConnell was in favor of retaining the Patriot Act while Paul blocked any extension what-so-ever.

(Via FoxNews.com) The Republican-led Senate blocked a House-passed bill and several short-term extensions of the USA Patriot Act early Saturday.

The big stumbling block was a House-passed measure to end the National Security Agency’s bulk collection of domestic phone records. Instead, the records would remain with telephone companies subject to a case-by-case review.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell favored retaining the program, but fellow Kentuckian and Republican presidential contender Rand Paul blocked any extension no matter how brief past the midnight May 31 expiration.

“This week, I stood on the floor for roughly 11 hours in defense of the Fourth Amendment and successfully blocked the renewal of the Patriot Act,” Paul said in a statement.

“We should never give up our rights for a false sense of security. This is only the beginning– the first step of many.  I will continue to do all I can until this illegal government spying program is put to an end, once and for all.”

McConnell announced early Saturday that the Senate would begin a week-long Memorial Day break and return Sunday, May 31, just hours before the programs lapse.

The Senate had been pressured by the White House to pass the House bill, which drew a large bipartisan vote last week and had the backing of GOP leaders, Democrats and the libertarian-leaning members.

However, the Senate blocked the bill by a vote of 57-42, just shy of the 60-vote threshold to move ahead.

The vote was followed by the rejected of a two-month extension to the existing programs. The vote went 54-45, short of the 60-vote threshold once again.

After the two votes, McConnell repeatedly asked for an even shorter renewal of current law ticking down days from June 8 to June 2. However, opponents of the post-Sept. 11 law objected every time.

Whatever the Senate approves, must be passed by the House, which had already left for Washington for the Memorial Day recess.

Watch The Final Desperate Moments Of Decorated Army Sgt. James Brown’s Life – Warning GRAPHIC

(Screenshot Credit, YouTube)

(Screenshot Credit, YouTube)

May 19, 2015

by Lorra B. for Silent Soldier

The final moments of U.S. Army Sgt. James Brown’s life are captured on a newly released video. Brown was serving a two-day, DWI sentence. What this video shows is an active-duty, decorated veteran not only bleeding but desperately trying to breathe.

Suffering from PTSD, Brown is subdued by riot-gear-clad police officers as he is struggling in his cell. 35 minutes pass and before Brown loses consciousness he can be heard several times desperately telling the officers that he can’t breath.

According to Fox news, Brown, “who was stationed at Fort Bliss, in El Paso, Texas, voluntarily checked in to the El Paso County Detention Center on a Friday in July 2012 to serve a two-day sentence, and was dead by Sunday. Three years later, KFOX-14  has obtained graphic video that shows Brown’s final moments, before he died of what a coroner said was a sickle cell ‘crisis.’”

So what really happened? The details of Brown’s death are puzzling. In the new video Brown can be seen thrashing around and clearly causing himself to bleed. But, what causes Brown to go berserk in the first place?

After being subdued by the officers, and repeatedly telling the officers he could not breathe, he is hoisted over the officer’s shoulders and take Brown into another room where he is injected with lorazepam, a mild sedative according to KFOX.

Things go from bad to seriously worse as Brown tells the officers “I’ve got problems,” and implores the officers to get him water, which, eventually, they do. But after Brown is taken back to his cell, his breathing becomes more labored and he becomes unresponsive.

Brown was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

“The family’s lawyer said at no time was an ambulance or 911 called for help,” reports Fox News.

No illegal drugs were discovered in Browns body and he had no criminal; record.

A statement by the El Paso County Sheriffs Office states, “Mr. Brown’s death was an unfortunate tragedy. The sheriffs office has conducted a thorough review of the facts surrounding Mr. Brown’s death and, based upon all the evidence obtained, determined that his death was caused by a pre-existing medical condition. The specific evidence cannot be discussed because of pending litigation.”

Dinette Robinson-Scott, Brown’s Mother, stated she didn’t understand why her son wasn’t in a military jail as he should have been.

Brown’s mother went on to tell KFOX that “I pray that new laws protecting soldiers in custody will be implemented, that the military adopt new policy procedures in regards to their soldiers being held in custody by an outside agency. If these changes can be made and our soldiers are protected, and another family never has to experience what my family has, then my son’s death would not have been in vein.”

Breaking: U.S. Intel Knowledge Of Benghazi Weapons Run Could Mean Treason For Hillary

dMay 18, 2015

By Lorra B. The Silent Soldier

In what could potentially mean the end of days for Hillary Clinton’s hope of a 2016 presidential run, Fox News has uncovered information that could amount to treason. Are we surprised by this new information?

It was confirmed by Fox News today that the US did indeed run guns from Benghazi to Syria. These gun runs took place before the attack on the US consulate in which the US Ambassador to Libya, along with three others, was killed on the September 11, 2012 attack, contrary to claims by President Obama that the attack was due to an anti-Muslim video.  Soon after these statements, the Obama administration detoured and insisted that the attack was simply ‘spontaneous’ and a result, perhaps, of rioting in that region.

And the lies are marching in, one by one, Hurrah! Hurrah!!

But, according to Fox News, “US Intelligence agencies were fully aware that weapons were moving from the terrorist stronghold in Libya to Syria before the attack that killed four Americans…”

Fox News also reports that the attack was fully intended for the anniversary of 9/11 and was in no way a coincidence. “The memo also tied the attack to 9/11…No discussion of a demonstration or anti-Mohammad video.”

Hmmmm. Something certainly isn’t adding up here.

If what Fox new is reporting is true then Hillary has surely perjured herself and in a big way. During a press conference in 2013 she stated, in no uncertain terms, that she had absolutely no idea of Benghazi guns runs.

Watch her defend herself asking “What Difference Does it make”:

Well, Hillary, IT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD!

A relief operations helicopter deployed following recent earthquakes in Nepal with six U.S. Marines and two Nepalese soldiers on board have been missing since Tuesday has been located, according to The Telegraph.

Near Charikot, Nepal, the helicopter went off-line slightly before 7 p.m., according to a spokesman for U.S. Pacific Command Army Maj. Dave Eastburn.

The UH-Huey was assigned to “Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 469 in support of Joint Task Force 505, a special relief unit put together by U.S Pacific Command. ” according to Fox News.

On April 25th the earthquake struck. When it hit Nepal at least 7000 people were killed and many large buildings were leveled. The U.S. military have been delivering medical supplies, water, food and shelter to those hit hardest by the devastation. It was during this mission that the UH-Huey went down.

After long hours of searching, Joint Task Force 505 personnel, a special relief unit put together by U.S Pacific Command has found the U.S. missing helicopter. The Telegraph reports, “Emergency centre says craft located but gives no indication of its condition following second major quake to strike the region in a fortnight.”

Reports of the helicopter find have not been officially confirmed as of yet and there are still varying reports as to the actual validity of the find and to the condition of the helicopters occupants.

The Failed Tactic of Flattering Islam Won’t Go Away

dMay 11, 2015

The FrontPage Mag: by

The recent attack in Texas against a “draw Mohammed” event ended up with two dead jihadis and widespread criticism of event organizer Pamela Geller for “inciting” or “provoking” the assault on our First Amendment right to free speech. The hypocrisies and ignorance behind such criticism have been amply documented, including by some on theleft. But there’s another argument against actions and events like Geller’s that needs dismantling. This is the received wisdom that we should avoid criticizing Islamic doctrine or Mohammed because it will alienate moderate Muslims who otherwise would help us against the so-called “extremist” jihadists.

Geraldo Rivera on Fox News invoked this rationale in his hysterical attack on Geller for “spewing her hatred and making us all look like the intolerant jerks they are saying we are in the Middle East and elsewhere.” In other words, most Muslims dislike the jihadis, who have “hijacked” and “distorted” their faith, and want to support our efforts against them. But they are put off by our “insults” of Mohammed and our “intolerance” of the wonderful “religion of peace,” all of which serve to “recruit” new jihadists. Even Bill O’Reilly and Laura Ingraham skirted this notion, advising against making any image of Mohammed, and thus in effect ratifying the legitimacy of the shari’a law against any representation of Mohammed, good or bad.

Consistent with this notion that flattery and respect can change Muslim behavior, many in the foreign policy establishment, including conservatives, have for decades counseled flattering “outreach” to Muslims as a tactic in winning the “hearts and minds” of the supposed large majority of Muslims angry at the jihadists’ “distortions” of their faith. Even before 9/11, Bill Clinton’s Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, called Islam “a faith that honors consultation, cherishes peace, and has as one of its fundamental principles the inherent equality of all who embrace it.” Even after 9/11 confirmed Islam’s traditional theologized violence and intolerance, George Bush claimed in his first address after 9/11 that Islam’s “teachings are good and peaceful, and those who commit evil in the name of Allah blaspheme the name of Allah.” In 2005, administration officials encouraged this tactic of false flattery as a way “to support the courageous Muslims who are speaking the truth about their proud religion and history, and seizing it back from those who would hijack it for evil ends.”

Of course Obama, who has serially groveled before Muslims and praised Islam, has continued this sorry practice. After his administration blamed the Benghazi murders on an obscure Internet video, he lectured that “the future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam.” The 2 gunmen in Garland Texas obviously agreed.  His quondam Secretary of State and now presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is on record extolling Islam’s “deepest yearning of all––to live in peace.” How is that going in Nigeria, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan? Worse of all, training materials used by our military and security services have excised any mention of jihad, which Western infidels have redefined as “a quest to find one’s faith in an external fight for justice,” as the New York Times put it in 2008. So Obama identifies the 13 slaughtered at Fort Hood to the traditional jihadist cry of “Allahu Akbar” as victims of “workplace violence.” Never mind the Koranic command to “slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush”––exactly what various jihadi outfits are doing today across the Middle East, and tried to do in Garland Texas.

Two decades of such flattery and admiration have failed to prevent nearly 26,000 violent jihadist attacks since 9/11, for they are based on Western bad ideas rather than on an accurate understanding of Islamic doctrine and the Muslim mentality. Behind our delusions is the peculiarly arrogant assumption that traditionalist Muslims––by which I mean those who take seriously the doctrines and precepts of their faith has practiced for 14 centuries––do not have their own motives and aims, but can only react to our bad behavior. Besotted by our own materialist superstitions and failure to take religion seriously, we reduce jihadist behavior to material and psychological causes: wounded self-esteem, resentment of “colonial” and “imperial” crimes, disrespect of Islam, or the lack of jobs, political freedom, or even sexual access to women.

Thus despite consistent polling data showing widespread Muslim support of illiberal shari’a law and its draconian penalties like death for blasphemy, we won’t accept that millions of Muslims actually believe what the Koran, Hadith, and 14 centuries of jurisprudence teach about the superiority of Islam and their right to use violence in order to bring the whole world under the sway of the superior social, economic, and political order that shari’a represents. In the guise of “respecting” Muslims, then, we patronize them as little more than children who can only “act out” violently in the face of injustice instead of “using their words.” Having reduced our own faith to holidays and comforting slogans, we simply can’t believe that Islam endorses violence and cruelty in the name of Allah, or that otherwise loving and kind people, as bin Laden was said to have been by all who knew him, can at the same time slaughter and brutalize innocents in pursuit of spiritual aims. No, either they are “crazy” or “evil,” or they are traumatized by our bad behavior.

This dubious pop-psychological assumption is usually accompanied by a catalogue of the historical crimes against Muslims perpetrated by the West, from the Crusades to the wars against the Taliban and Saddam Hussein. These depredations, so the story goes, also fuel anger and resentment, and help to incentivize otherwise peaceful Muslims into turning jihadist. But this narrative is belied by the facts of history. For what history tells us is that the record of Muslim conquest, occupation, colonizing, slaving, raiding, and killing of Christians far surpasses the alleged crimes of the West against Islam. We recently marked the centenary of the Ottoman genocide against the Christian Armenians, Assyrians, and Chaldeans, a crime being duplicated today by ISIS in northern Iraq. Recently our historically challenged president whined about the Crusades and the Inquisition, with nary a word about the centuries of Muslim invasion, occupation, colonization, and brutal suppression in Christian Spain, Sicily, the Balkans, and Greece.
