‘Enough’s Enough’ – Renewal of the Iran Sanctions Bill Passes in the House by a 419-1 Vote

A bill to renew an Iran sanctions law and go after supporters of Syrian President Bashar Assad’s government has been approved by the House on Tuesday.

The bill calls for punishing those who financially back the Syrian government and “maintaining economic pressure on Tehran,” according to Associated Press.

The violence in Syria is in it’s sixth year and has seen almost 500,000 people killed. This has contributed to “Europe’s worst refugee crisis since World War II and given the Islamic State group room to grow into a global terror threat.” The Assad government now stands accused of war crimes.

Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Rep. Eliot Engel, stated, “What we have now is a grim lesson in human suffering. We can see the ethnic cleansing going on. Even the United Nations calls this ‘crimes of historic proportions.’ Enough’s enough.”

The bill would sanction countries like Russia and Iran that provide funding or do business with the Syrian government.

“Anyone that provides aircraft to Syria’s commercial airlines, does business with the transportation and telecom sectors controlled by the Syrian government, or supports the country’s energy industry also would be subject to sanctions, according to the legislation.”

Last month, Secretary of State John Kerry wanted an investigation into Russia and Syria for war crimes, “a move that escalated already heated rhetoric against Moscow for its part in a deadly military offensive in Aleppo, Syria’s largest city, and its longstanding support of Assad,” reports AP.

In 2014 a Syria defector testified before the Foreign Affairs Committee that he bore witness to a ‘genocidal massacre’ of over 10,000. He is said to have images of the slaughter.

Rep. Leonard Lance, R-N.J, stated, “Sanctions work. Now is not the time to ease up on the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism.”

President Barack Obama, according to Kerry, will sign the renewal bill. If approved the bill, which first passed Congress in 1996, will extend the law to 2026. If it is not signed it will expire come years’ end.

Should the bill be extended, the U.S. will be allowed to punish Iran if they fail to live up to the terms of last year’s Iran Nuclear Deal.

Should Tehran agree to rolling back its nuclear program, the U.S. and other world powers agreed to suspend wide-ranging oil, trade and financial sanctions that had choked the Iranian economy.”

The House cleared the Iran Sanctions Extensions Act by a vote of 419-1.

The only Congressional ‘No’ vote on the bill came from Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky.

The U.S. Makes Another Huge Payment to Iran, $1.3 Billion

On Tuesday the Obama administration admitted to transferring $1.7 billion in cash to Iran earlier this year to settle a long ago 1979 arms deal that went wrong.

An initial $400 million was sent to Tehran Jan. 17. Ironically, that was the same day Iran agreed to release four American prisoners. Congressional officials stated that the remaining $1.3 billion was paid in two more installments, one on Jan. 22 and the other on Feb. 5.

Treasury spokesperson Dawn Selak stated, “The form of those principal and interest payments—made in non-U.S. currency, in cash—was necessitated by the effectiveness of U.S. and international sanctions regimes over the last several years in isolating Iran from the international financial system.”

According to the Wall Street Journal, The Obama administration was initially unwilling to reveal the inner workings of the &1.7 billion settlement and did not let congress know that they had paid the whole settlement in cash.

It was the belief of the White House that the 37-year-old conflict would be lost due to the initial $400 million payment, “made by the last Shah of Iran months before the Islamic Revolution. Such a decision would have made them liable for much more money,” about $10 billion.

Though the administration continues to claim that no negotiations were made with terrorists, they did acknowledge using the cash as leverage until the Americans were released.

How is that different?

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla. and Rep. Ed Royce, R-Calif., may have been wondering the same thing when they presented bills to kill future payments such as these.

Rubio stated, “The U.S. government should not be in the business of negotiating with terrorists and paying ransom money in exchange for the release of American hostages.”

The bill presented on Tuesday would stop any payments by the Treasury Department to Iran until the $1.7 billion is repaid to the United States. The bill also insists on Iran paying the American terrorism victims.

Growing Global Security Threats, What’s Being Done?

To say we have global security threats might be an understatement. Just looking at a few of them should give us reason for pause and concern.

In the 29 pages of the Obama administration’s 2015 National Security Strategy report, the increase of nuclear threat or nuclear material is referred to eight times.

“…no threat poses as grave a danger to our security and well-being as the potential use of nuclear weapons and materials by irresponsible states or terrorists.” (Page 11)

President Barrack Obama’s answer to the possible nuclear threat from Iran, for example, is to turn a sworn and very old enemy of the United States into an ally in order to join with other regional allies to help with threats such as fighting the Islamic State.

But is this something viable? “The effort has no obvious precedent in U.S. history, and analogies to earlier landmark successes—arms control with the soviets and President Richard Nixon’s opening to China—don’t withstand scrutiny. And if Obama’s problematic theory of global change doesn’t bear fruit, the deal will severely imperil U.S. national security,” reports US News.

Cyber Security threats are another hot topic when it comes to Global Security. James Andrew Lewis, a programmer at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, states, “The biggest threats come from four countries: Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea.”

“Russian and Chinese hackers steal billions from the U.S. every year. Iran and North Korea are risky because they have used cyber attacks for political coercion against U.S. Citizens. Any of these four could disrupt critical services or data, and while Russia and China are careful, Iran or North Korea could easily make a mistake.”

So, even if the Obama administration is successful in his nuclear deal with Iran, America still faces a very real and potentially devastating Cyber Security threat from them.

Finally, the threat of Social Unrest. Lets face it, most would agree we look more like a Police State than a democracy and with this comes civil unrest.

“With cradle-to-grave welfare protecting all citizens from any mistakes and a perpetual global war on terrorism, which a majority of Americans were convinced was absolutely necessary for our survival, our security and prosperity has been sacrificed,” reports LewRockwell.com.

The influx of immigrants to America, for example, legal or otherwise, has set many citizens at each other’s throats because of differing opinions of what that means for America, politically, economically and socially.

The constant disregard of U.S. borders have caused many American’s to be distrustful and angry with the White House administration and worry what the influx of immigrants means from a welfare and safety stance.

Sociology professor Ruben Rumbaut warns of the danger that “civil unrest in the United States will result if we ignore the developing underclass of children born to illegal immigrants,” reports PR News wire. “…illegal immigration in the United States could lead to the same type of violence that occurred in France and England.”

After 9/11 the world seems committed to perpetual war and America became conditioned to accept total surveillance. We have become used the Political Correctness we are being fed and the regulations imposed upon us by an ever growing government who tells Americans what to think, eat and say. Since the 9/11 attacks America has also seen a sharp decline in our civil liberties.

America seems to be growing ever discontent as see cries for security and safety from her government. The civil unrest that could very possibly ensue would have a direct impact of Global Security.

Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, cautioned on Tuesday that global threats are increasing and that “the world risks becoming immune and [is] doing nothing [about it],” according to Military Times.

“In my 41 years of military service, I’ve never witnessed such significant shifts in the international security environment as we are seeing all around us today,” he said. “The complex array of threats and, let’s call it geopolitical jockeying, requires all of us to contend with an unpredictable landscape.”

IRAN OFFERS COMBAT TRAINING PROGRAM FOR KIDS

The malignancy of Islamic terrorism has spread to the point that they are now offering complete training camps for children to learn how to commit Jihad.

No doubt this is happening in most if not all countries where Sharia Law is practiced.

Located in the middle of the Persian Gulf, Iran must be taught to play ball, no matter the cost to them. 

This is one among many reasons, particularly as it is being done in Iran that they must be exterminated. 

Men, women and children, drop napalm on them and decide if any survivors are ready to be reprogrammed.

The purpose of the program is ‘to introduce to the children the concepts of holy defense, knowledge of the enemy and fighting the Saudis and America.’

The municipality in the city of Mashhad (a large city in northeastern Iran) has launched a combat training program for children called the City of Quranic Games and Resistance.

The program was under the supervision of clerics from the Iranian system of hawzas, Shiite religious seminaries.

According to the official site of the Mashhad municipality, “The purpose of this program that began a few days ago is to introduce the children to the concepts of resistance, war, holy defense, knowledge of the enemy and fighting Saudi Arabia and America.”

The children are training in groups of 10-15 in seven different types of martial arts.

They wear military uniforms with headbands bound across their foreheads with the word “resistance” written on them.

Iranian human-rights activists say the program is to prepare the children to be jihadis similar to how ISIS is training children in Iraq and Syria.

Last month, Iraq’s al-Sumaria satellite TV network reported that the Islamic State had kidnapped at least 1,227 children from various neighborhoods in Mosul to be trained as “Cubs of the Caliphate.”

The information was given to the network by the Kurdish Democratic Party spokesman in Mosul, Saeed Mamouzini.

Earlier this month, Iraqi police reported that 500 Iraqi children had been taken by the terror organization, 400 from Anbar, in the west, and 100 from Diyali, in the east.

The children are subsequently brainwashed and used as fighters, executioners and suicide bombers.

Reports surfaced on July 8 that a 14-year-old suicide bomber sent by the Islamic State killed himself long with 50 Kurdish fighters by driving a truck filled with explosives into a military checkpoint in Hasakah (northern Syria) Sunday night.  

The latest Islamic State execution video shot in the ancient Syrian city of Palmyra, featured 25 “cubs” ranging in ages from 10-16 who executed 25 Syrian soldiers.

The rapidly growing number of Shiite cultural centers in Latin America have provided the Islamic Republic of Iran with a means to expand its covert recruitment operations throughout the western hemisphere, leading military officials and experts to provide Breitbart News with statements that directly contradict the Obama administration’s narrative that Iran’s influence in the region is “waning.”

Breitbart News interviewed military and intelligence officials, policy experts, members of Congress, and a former White House official for this report, all of whom warned about the threat posed by Iran’s continuing encroachment into Latin America.

Iran is infiltrating Latin America thanks largely to Hezbollah, a Shiite terrorist group that has sworn loyalty to Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, showing overt preference to the Tehran dictator over its host-state Lebanon. Hezbollah, along with Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), have provided the on-the-ground support needed for the proliferation of Iran’s Khomeinist ideology.

Breitbart News’ sources have unanimously refuted the assessment of Obama’s State Department, which has claimed that “Iranian influence in Latin America and the Caribbean is waning.”

A U.S. military official told Breitbart News that the estimated 80-plus Shiite cultural centers backed by Iran are continuously multiplying, and are currently being operated by Hezbollah and Tehran’s Revolutionary Guards-Quds Force.

Hezbollah provides operational and logistical support “for Iran’s covert activities in the region to include coordination and collaboration with Lebanese [Hezbollah’s] external operations arm the Islamic Jihad Organization” through Shiite Islamic centers dubbed “cultural centers,” the official told Breitbart News, contradicting the narrative put forth by the State Department.

Such centers can be found throughout Latin America, according to the official.

“Iranian cultural centers open possibilities for Iran to introduce members of its Revolutionary Guard-Qods Forces (IRGC-QF) to a pool of potential recruits within the centers population of Lebanese Shi’a Muslims and local converts to Shia Islam,” added the defense official.

David Shedd, the former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), echoed the U.S. military officials comments, telling Breitbart News via email that “the cultural centers may be used as platforms for truly nefarious purposes by the Iranian regime.”

“Iran has expanded its ‘cultural centers’ presence in locations such as Quito [in Ecuador] and Caracas [in Venezuela] where there is a strong anti-US government sentiment,” Shedd, currently a visiting distinguished fellow at the Heritage Foundation, told Breitbart News.

“Iran’s overall expanded presence in the Western Hemisphere is troubling,” the former DIA director added. “The expanded presence in any capacity in the Latin American region should give the U.S. pause given the profound differences between U.S. values and those of a regime in Tehran that supports terrorism as an officially sanctioned tool of national power.”

Shedd warned that Hezbollah, which he described as the most prominent global terrorist group in Latin America, likely has “sleeper cells” in various countries in the Western Hemisphere.

“Hezbollah sympathizers also appear to have a presence in the tri-border area of Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil where they are involved in black market commercial activities,” he noted.

The Tri-Border region in South America includes Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil. According to the Treasury Department, the Galeria Page shopping mall in Paraguay– at the heart of the tri-border– serves as central headquarters and a fundraising source for Hezbollah members in the region.

Members of Congress have also sounded the alarm about Tehran’s growing influence in Latin America.

Rep. Ryan Zinke (R-MT) 40%, a member of the House Armed Services, said that Iran’s presence was evident when he visited Quito, Ecuador. The congressman described it as a place where anti-American sentiment is strong and jihadist figures appear next to Latin American heroes.

Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) 95% (R-S.C.), the chairman of the House Foreign Relations Subcommittee, has been warning against the presence and activity of Iran and its ally Hezbollah in Latin America, holding multiple congressional hearings on the issue, visiting the region, and sponsoring legislation — the Countering Iran in the Western Hemisphere Act of 2012.

Chairman Duncan told Breitbart News that Iran and its proxy Hezbollah “use many tools to deepen their influence in the region, including diplomatic missions and cultural centers; ties with terrorist organizations and criminal groups; training Latin American youth in Tehran; and exploiting loose border security policies and free trade zones to smuggle contraband.”

Iran Hijacked a Ship. The White House Should Demand the Release of Ship, Crew.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps seized a cargo ship Tuesday in the Strait of Hormuz, after first firing a shot across the bow of the ship, Maersk Tigris, registered in the Marshall Islands.

The ship issued a distress call before it was boarded, hijacked and diverted to an Iranian port.

The U.S. Navy dispatched the destroyer USS Farragut to respond to the distress call, but it arrived too late to prevent the hijacking. Because the seizure occurred in the internationally recognized maritime passage, it essentially was an act of piracy.

But the Obama administration has downplayed the importance of Iran’s piracy, just as it has downplayed the crimes of the Islamic Republic in repressing its own people, violating their human rights and supporting terrorism against Americans and U.S. allies.

The White House is determined to push through a flawed nuclear deal with Iran despite these inconvenient truths.

The Maersk Tigris reportedly now is resting off the Iranian coast and its crew is safe according to their employer, but the circumstances under which they are being detained remains unclear.

Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agencyclaimed that Iranian authorities had a commercial dispute with the owner of the ship, but even if true, that would not legally justify seizing a ship in international waters.

The more likely explanation is that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has flexed its muscles to provoke a crisis in retaliation for U.S. backing for the Saudi-led coalition that is blockading Yemen, to prevent Iran from arming and supplying Yemen’s Houthi rebels, which Tehran has backed.

Last week the U.S. deployed the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt and other warships to deter an Iranian naval convoy from transporting suspected arms to a Yemeni port.

The humiliating retreat of the Iranian convoy also may have inspired the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to harass another ship in the Strait of Hormuz, the U.S.-flagged Maersk Kensington, on April 24 when four Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps vessels encircled it in an ominous manner.

Tehran periodically has threatened to close the strait if it is attacked or its own oil exports are threatened. Closure would have dire consequences for the global economy because about 20 percent of world oil supplies are transported through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital strategic chokepoint.

The U.S. commitment to ensure the free flow of oil as well as freedom of the seas requires that Washington take a firm stand against Iranian piracy.

The White House should immediately demand the unconditional release of the Maersk Tigris and its crew.

Washington also bears a special responsibility for defending the interests of the Marshall Islands, a U.S. protectorate.

As the State Department has noted, “The United States has full authority and responsibility for security and defense of the Marshall Islands” under the terms of the Compact of Free Association with the United States.

Turning a blind eye to Tehran’s latest provocation would not only betray an ally but would send a dangerous signal to Iran’s predatory regime that it can interfere with international shipping in the strait and violate international law with impunity.

TEHRAN, Iran –  The head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard on Monday accused Saudi Arabia of treachery against the Islamic world and compared the kingdom to Israel, the official IRNA news agency reported.

“Today, the treacherous Saudis are following in Israel’s footsteps,” Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari was quoted as saying.

“Saudi Arabia is shamelessly and disgracefully bombing and mass killing a nation that is fighting against the arrogant system,” or world powers, he said. He was apparently referring to Yemen, where a Saudi-led coalition has been waging a monthlong air campaign against Iran-supported rebels, known as Houthis.

Iran has provided the Houthis with political and humanitarian support but denies arming them. The Houthis seized the capital, Sanaa, last year, and Yemen’s internationally recognized president has fled the country.

Iranian leaders have repeatedly criticized the airstrikes and said the Saudi-led campaign is doomed to fail. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei went so far as to call the airstrikes in Yemen “genocide.”

Jafari said the Saudi monarchy is facing collapse and called on his government to adopt a tougher stance toward Riyadh.

Sunni Saudi Arabia and Shiite Iran are longtime regional rivals. They back opposite sides in Syria’s civil war and are fiercely divided on a host of regional issues.

The head of Iran’s navy said warships would remain in international waters near Yemen as part of a 90-day assignment through July 10. Adm. Habibollah Sayyari told state TV they will then be replaced by another fleet.

Iran dispatched the destroyer Alborz and logistics ship Bushehr to the waters off Yemen last month. It says the ships are patrolling the strategic Bab al-Mandab strait on an anti-piracy mission.

Last week the Pentagon said a nine-ship Iranian convoy heading for Yemen had reversed course.

The turning point appeared to be the U.S. Navy’s announcement last Monday that the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt had departed its usual position in the Persian Gulf and was to join other U.S. forces conducting maritime security operations in the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden off Yemen’s coast.

Iranian officials have never acknowledged sending a convoy.

Hillary is “the one.” She is our gift from God. Mana from Heaven. The gift that keeps on giving. Conservatives should get down on their knees and thank God for Hillary.

Okay, enough thanking and praying. Now let’s destroy her.

I speak at business conferences all over the world about my expertise-branding. The GOP has the greatest branding opportunity in modern history. Hillary is easier to brand than even Mitt Romney was for Democrats.

Destroy Hillary now and it leaves Democrats between a rock and a hard place. Here’s how to brand Hillary. This will be fun. It’s like shooting fish in a barrel. Hillary makes this job a joy!

Hillary should be branded with the name “TRICKY DICKY HILLARY.” She is a Nixon clone. A protege. She learned well from ole “Tricky Dicky.”

Let’s make sure America understands the Nixon connection. Hillary was a lawyer on the committee investigating Nixon’s scandals. She knew all about the erased Nixon audiotapes.

A blistering list of why Hillary won’t ever be presidential material follows:

She learned well. That must be where she got the idea to delete 32,000 emails and wipe the server clean. Like Nixon, she decided what we the people had a right to know. Then she pressed “delete.” That’s the first TV ad to run 24 hours a day.

Why did she delete 32,000 emails? What she afraid of. There’s the million dollar question. My guess is she was petrified of four dead American bodies at Benghazi. Then there was the cover-up of the four murders.

Destroy her with her own words, “What difference does it make?” Those were Hillary’s words in front of a Congressional committee about the Benghazi tragedy. Four heroes were murdered. She participated in a cover-up and all she could think to say was, “What difference does it make?” Meaning those young heroes are all dead, so who cares?

Her own TV ads in 2008 bragged about her decision-making abilities at 2 AM when the important call comes in. Well we now know what she said when that call came in during the attack on Benghazi. She heard our heroes were about to be murdered and she said, “What difference does it make?” Then she went back to sleep.

I suggest TV ad campaigns featuring the parents of those four men abandoned by Hillary and Obama and left to die at the hands of a radical Muslim mob. Who supplied the arms? America?

Under Hillary’s direction? Why wasn’t more security provided? Why wasn’t a rescue ordered? Who was involved in the coverup? Let’s ask the parents of those four dead Americans how they feel about Hillary. Put their answers on a TV commercial 24 hours a day.

Then let’s use Hillary’s own words to ask a crucial question: “What difference did Hillary make as Secretary of State?” Name her accomplishments?

The world was in flames, the Middle East melted down, ISIS was born, Iran laughed in our face as they built a nuclear program- all under her leadership. True she flew around the world. Bravo. But the results are devastating. The world is a far more dangerous place. What difference did she make?

“We were dead broke when we left the White House.” There’s another great line straight from Hillary’s mouth. I’m guessing she believed it at the time. She was desperate for money.

Maybe that’s why the Clintons stole the china and furniture on the way out the White House door. Maybe that’s why $6 billion went missing at the State Department under her watch. When you’re broke, $6 billion can make a big difference. Play that TV ad 24 hours a day.

Hillary says she is a “woman of the people.” She’s one of us. But she hasn’t driven a car since 1995. Picture a TV ad with chauffeurs driving Miss Hillary. Be sure they are identified as the leaders of the same Muslim nations that gave millions in donations to her Clinton Foundation. Run that TV ad 24 hours a day.

Hillary is all about the middle class. She has decided to make the middle class the centerpiece of her campaign for president. But “Mrs. Middle Class” demands $300,000 for a one-hour speech and a Gulfstream private jet to take her there and back.

She also gets the Presidential Suite at a 5 star hotel, or she won’t show up. No Marriots, Hiltons or Holiday Inns for Hillary. Run that story on TV ads 24 hours a day. Let’s see how middle class women respond to her list of demands.

Hillary is all about honesty and transparency. But it turns out she bought 2 million fake Facebook fans. I guess those are the things you have to do when you ask middle class college kids paying obscene tuition to pay for your $300,000 speeches and private jets. It must be hard to find real fans! Run that story in a TV ad 24 hours a day.

Now back to the main course: The Clinton Foundation. The Clintons have raised over $2 billion dollars in donations from the wealthiest people, companies and foreign governments in the world. Hillary’s not “conflicted.” Rather she is completely 100% bought and paid for.

If she wins the Presidency she should wear pantsuits custom designed with patches from corporate sponsors. You know like NASCAR. She should have Penske and Valvoline patches on her pantsuits. The White House should say “America’s House, Brought to you by the government of Saudi Arabia.”

Hillary says she fights for the rights of women…yet she accepts hundreds of millions in donations from Muslim governments that stone women…make them hide behind veils…don’t allow them to drive without a man in the car…don’t allow them to be educated…and arrest and whip them (occasionally even execute them) for being the victims of rape. She could be the biggest hypocrite in the history of politics.

Here’s a great line for TV commercials: “When a Muslim country gives a $10 million check to The Clinton Foundation…then stones a woman to death…what does Hillary say? “THANK YOU.” Run that TV ad 24 hours a day.

Hillary says she fights for the rights of gays. She tweeted her disgust at the new Indiana law protecting religious freedom. But she gladly accepted multi-million dollar checks from Muslim governments that stone gays and drop them off roofs of buildings. This is the biggest sellout in the history of world politics.Run that TV ad 24 hours a day.

Remember Hillary’s TV commercial about that important phone call at 2 AM. We need to run TV ads asking, “When that call comes in at 2 AM, and it involves one of those countries that gave millions to the Clinton Foundation, do you trust Hillary Clinton to make the decision that is best for America…for taxpayers…for your children? Hillary Clinton- bought and paid for by foreign governments.”Run that TV ad 24 hours a day.

Run all of those diverse TV ads 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, starting N-O-W. Brand and define Hillary long before the election.

That puts Democrats in a very difficult, if not impossible position. Do they nominate this deeply flawed, walking billboard of corruption and hypocrisy? Do they run for President with a standard bearer that has been morphed into Richard Nixon? Or do they dump her for an unknown? If they dump her, is there time to raise the money for a complete unknown? Will there be any money left after Hillary has sucked Democrat donors dry? Is there time to vet the replacement candidate for flaws? Is there time to introduce the new candidate to American voters and still win the election?

Democrats have put all their eggs in one tired, worn out, entitled Pinata. It’s time to start whacking away at Tricky Dicky Hillary.

FACING CERTAIN OVERRIDE, OBAMA CAVES IN TO CONGRESS AND REALITY ON IRAN

“White House spokesman Josh Earnest, must be smoking his daily allotment of her to have come up with this zinger.

The bill that passed cut to 30 days from 60 the time in which Congress can review any final nuclear agreement and eliminated the requirement that Obama certify that Iran is not supporting acts of terrorism against the United States.

Instead, it requires the administration to send Congress regular, detailed reports on a range of issues including Iran’s support for terrorism, ballistic missiles and nuclear program.

Exactly how would said verification by Obama be accomplished?  It’s not possible, Teheran is the leading supporter of terrorism and terrorists the world over.

Let’s also remember, Article II, Section II, Clause II of the U.S. Constitution requires a two thirds yes vote by both houses of congress.

With Republicans controlling both houses, how likely is that to happen?”

Barack Obama dropped his opposition on Tuesday to a bill giving Congress a voice on a nuclear deal with Iran after members of his Democratic Party negotiated changes to the bill that had won strong support from both parties.

Obama, not a happy camper.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Obama, who had said he would veto the proposed bill because it could scuttle the emerging Iran deal, could accept compromises that drew bipartisan Senate support.

“What we have made clear to Democrats and Republicans in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee is that the president would be willing to sign the proposed compromise that is working its way through the committee,” Earnest said.

The compromise bill passed the Senate Foreign Relations Committee unanimously and is expected to pass the full Senate.

It requires the Obama administration to send the text of a final agreement to Congress as soon as it is completed, and blocks Obama’s ability to waive many U.S. sanctions on Iran while Congress reviews the deal.

It allows a final vote on whether to lift sanctions imposed by Congress in exchange for Iran dismantling its nuclear capabilities.

“The proper role for Congress in this effort is the consideration of the sanctions that Congress put in place themselves,” Earnest told reporters. “It would not be an up or down vote on the deal.”

United Nations sanctions and those imposed by other countries could be lifted if an agreement is reached on restricting Iran’s nuclear program by a June 30 target date.

Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Senator Bob Corker, who wrote the bill, said the White House had agreed to go along with it only after it was clear there was strong Democratic support. “That change occurred only when they saw how many senators were going to vote for this,” Corker said.
Obama has invested enormous political capital throughout his presidency in securing an international agreement to ensure Iran does not develop a nuclear weapon, relying on tight sanctions that crippled Iran’s economy and forced it to negotiate.

Earnest told reporters Obama had also insisted that there should be bipartisan agreement that this would be the only legislation governing Congress’s oversight of the Iran deal.

Some Republicans, and a few hawkish Democrats, have pushed additional sanctions to put even more pressure on Iran but those bills were put on hold while the Corker bill moved forward.

Obama had warned that allowing Congress to vote directly on a final nuclear agreement would undermine Iran’s faith in Washington’s commitment to uphold a deal.

A framework deal with Tehran reached by Britain, China, France, Germany, Russia and the United States on April 2 is part of an effort to limit Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for relief from economic sanctions.

Iran says its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes and not to develop weapons capability, as many in the West fear.

WATCH ISIS GAINS GROUND IN NUKE-ARMED PAKISTAN

You will notice that no one in our government is very interested in opposing them, even though the UN keeps condemning their violence, torture and murder of innocents: a complete and unadulterated joke.

Of course “The boy who would be king has vowed to put U.S. troops on the ground in Pakistan if terrorists go after Pakistani nukes.  I’m sure he must have used the words “Enemy combatants, as Islam and Islamic terrorist are still not recognized by him and the laughable goons in his administration.

Obama has spent his entire career “Leading” from behind and would have a clue about the nature of the conflicts if he were carpet bombed with them.

ISIS is expanding into Pakistan. It now has its marauding throat slashing troops in Africa, Syria, Iraq and God knows where else.

You will also notice that the Republicans are snorting and pawing the ground over Iran, with its Shia sect, which does not call for murdering Christians.

On the other hand, we are bosom pals with Saudi Arabia, which aids and abets ISIS and the Taliban, as you can read in reputable news outlets, like here,  and here

So why is the US so lenient with the Saudis, who adhere to the Sunni Wahhabist sect, the most violent sect by far in the ME, while baring its fangs against Iran, who are Shia, a sect that does not call for death to Christians (Iran has 600 Christian churches and allows Bibles in its territory, while the Saudis have zero churches or Bibles)?

Read the story of ISIS in Pakistan is at the next link, which shows that, while everyone is in hysterics over the possibility of the less violent Iran possibly getting nukes, the Pakistanis, which already HAVE nukes, may eventually fall to ISIS, which is crazy enough to blow up the world. Have you noticed that US foreign policy is insane and possibly suicidal?
