In June the Defense Department ended its ban on transgender service members. New policies for the Navy and Marines are now being implemented including a time-frame as to when transgender troops will have full military acceptance, care for medical transition inclusive.

According to Navy Times, “…the Navy Department is preparing to provide medical and administrative support for transitioning sailors and Marines, train personnel on the particulars of serving in a transgender-inclusive force and, by next summer, accept transgender recruits into boot camp.”

A transgender service member is described as anyone diagnosed by military personnel as medically in need gender transition, according to ALNAV 053/16.

Both the Navy and the Marine applicants who meet all standards related to service will be admitted by July 1, 2017. Forced separation from other service members or being denied re-enlistment because of ‘gender identity’ will be strictly prohibited.

Navy Secretary Ray Mabus stated, “The gender identity of an otherwise qualified individual will not bar them from joining the Navy or Marine Corps, from admission to the United States Naval Academy, or from participating in Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps or any other accession program.”

“These policies and procedures are premised on the conclusion that open service by transgender Sailors and Marines, while being subject to the same standards and procedures as other members with regard to their medical fitness for duty, physical fitness, uniform and grooming, deployability, and retention, is consistent with military readiness.”

In the works are training handbooks to provide guidance to all involved, from the commanding officers to the rest of the force.

By November 1, instructions outlining procedures, responsibilities and policy will be released that relate to “personnel matters for transgender troops, including retention and accession standards, in-service transition, and medical coverage.”

It’s a new world. Transgender Sailors and Marines who desire to undergo the medical gender change will be able to begin the process by October 1.

Few if any who volunteer to serve their country by joining the military do so for the flag.

The flag is an important symbol, of the freedoms we enjoy in America, we fight for our country the freedom it still provides and our squad members.

God bless you Vanessa and you taking such a memorable shot.

May it be remembered with the one above.

This morning while watching Fox and Friends on the Fox News Channel, I saw the picture of a U.S. Navy veteran cradling a baby in an American flag.  My first thought was – what an absolutely beautiful photo!  But then, a whole lot of controversy was being discussed when people on Face Book objected to the photo.

I was so glad that Elizabeth Hasselbeck interviewed the photographer, Vanessa Hicks, who is also a Navy veteran.

Good for Vanessa Hicks for not taking down the photo and for defending her actions on this issue! Her explanation in that video interview says it all!!!

I wonder…if the baby had instead been an aborted fetus, would the progressive leftist pro-death-to-babies-in-the-womb maniacs have stayed silent about the photo? Would they have accepted it as some sort of “artsy” and “free speech” issue? Or even worse, would they have cheered about it?

Think I’m being too “mean”  against the Planned Parenthood types? See Planned Parenthood supporter at an El Centro City Council meeting on March 4, 2015, Marcus Jay Shapiro was asked to leave the meeting for threatening a pro-life pastor. Shapiro yelled “Hail Satan!” as he was being escorted out by police.

4-STAR US NAVY ADMIRAL SLAMS OBAMA WHILE SENDING DIRE WARNING TO ALL OF AMERICA!

dFebruary 11, 2015

Comment by Jim Campbell, Citizen Journalist, Oath Keeper and Patriot.
Of course the reader will forgive me for not being too fond of this complete fabrication  who was put into the Oval Office not by American voters but the money makers of the world.  Think N.W.O and Agenda 21.
In their collective wisdom they deemed it was time for a “Halfrican” to run the ship of state into the ground, economically and militarily.
Of course we are not at war with Islam Sparky, we have been at war with the Turlock, CA Olympic Precision Square Dance team.
Obama has never had America’s best interest in mind.  How could he, there is no proof in existence that he is an American.
With his tepid responses against The Islamic State using drones, he plays into their hands, backing his Muslim Brothers.
The world will be a far safer place when Obama is no longer in power.

The video below features 4-Star Navy Admiral James A. ‘Ace’ Lyons, the former Commander-in-Chief of the US Pacific Fleet, speaking at the National Press Club during a press conference on how to combat radical Islamic extremism in America. While one might think Lyons would quickly go after Al-Qaeda and ISIS, the warning given here Admiral Lyons should awaken any Americans remaining in the country who still thinks Barack Obama has Americans best interest in mind.

Calling on all Military leaders and the new GOP controlled Congress toSTAND UP to the Obama administration and UPHOLD their oaths, Admiral Lyons tells us we “have a hell of a job” ahead of us in warning that the Muslim Brotherhood has now completely infiltrated the National Securityagencies across the country, including all of our intelligence agencies.

This video is a must watch and completely confirms our military being disarmed by Obama and should send a strong warning to all Christians, 2nd Amendment supporters, gun owners, freedom lovers, those who still follow the US Constitution and everyone else who loves America: time is running out.

Dolphins to Make NATO History

NMMP dolphins, such as the one pictured here wearing a locating pinger, performed mine clearance work in the Persian Gulf during the Iraq War.

Dolphins are to be deployed for combat drills in the Black Sea that will last about two weeks.

The United States Navy have been using mammals, principally California sea lions and bottlenose dolphins, since the 1960’s because of their intelligence, trainability and outstanding diving ability.

The research facility at Point Mugu, California, was started in 1962 and began with the intention of studying the mammals sonar and deep diving capabilities. They were studied to discover just how they might be useful in performing certain tasks such as searching for and marking items in the water.

According to Wikipedia, “A Major accomplishment was the discovery that trained dolphins and sea lions could be reliably worked untethered in the open sea.”

The Navy Marine Mammal Program, based in San Diego, California, trains the mammals to detect sea mines and were used in the Persian Gulf during the Iraq War in 2003, detecting over 100 “booby traps.”

Later this year, while at the Black Sea, the U.S. dolphins will “test a new anti-radar system, designed to disorientate enemy sonar,” according to Ukraine Timeline. “Both sea lions and dolphins will look for mines and military divers.” The mammals will be training in the areas of mine detection and the protection of harbors and ships.

Getting the mammals to the Black Sea is another story and one not without controversy. The plan is to transfer them in a plane that has been equipped with large holding baths. This is no small task. Yury Plyachenko was  in command of  “the Black Sea Fleet’s military dolphins in 1988-92,” according to Ukraine Timeline, and stated the “transportation of U.S. combat dolphins to the Black Sea by air is a very expensive task which comes with a huge risk to the health of the animals.”

“There must be a very good reason to make the animals travel over such distances in a plane. We shouldn’t forget that a lot of money was invested into their training,” Plyachenko stated.

It will no be long before we start hearing an outcry of protest from animal rights groups and Greenpeace, Plyachenko indicated. He later reminded the press that, “During the USSR, the soviet Navy planned to take their dolphins to the Mediterranean Sea for training, but the exercise was cancelled under pressure from the international community,” reports Ukraine Timeline.

Flying the mammals to their destination in’t the only problems the Navy faces. There has been controversy surrounding the use of mammals for military use. Though in accordance with strict policies in the care and handling of the Navy mammals, there is intense opposition.

Animal rights activists state that the animals are under undue stress do to the nature of the work they are doing and are outraged by the use of anti-foraging apparatuses, such as muzzles, during their training exercises. According to Wikipedia, the muzzles are to keep them from swallowing object that could hurt them but the opponents say that’s not true and that they (Navy) use the muzzles as a way to control the mammals.

However you feel about mammals in our military, one thing is certain. Dolphins will be flying into the U.S. history books if they are transported to the Black Sea as the first dolphins to participate in NATO war games.

Law Suit Over Flight Suits

A U.S. Navy F/A-18 Hornet being launched from catapult on full afterburner.

The Aviation community has been buzzing over a civil suit in Georgia between former fighter pilots. The 4 naval aviators are trying to pursue a career in either motivational speaking or business management and allege that the lawsuit, brought against them by Afterburner Inc. and the company CEO Jim Murphy, threatens this pursuit for them or any current or former military pilot.

John Borneman, Kyle Howlin, John Underhill and Carey Lohrenz (the first female F-14 pilot), are the defendants in this case and all worked for Afterburner. In September of 2008 the four started The Corps Group which offers  management consulting and training service, the same services that Afterburner has offered for the last 20 years.

The lawsuit went in favor of Afterburner but the four pilots believe the ruling gives Murphy the ability to decide if former pilots or employees will be allowed to wear flight suits in their civilian careers. But Murphy, a F-15 instructor pilot in the Georgia Air National Guard, denies this and claims that his former employees “forced him to sue them in order to protect his business,” reports Military Today.

The jury, who found the defendants in violation of trademark infringement laws concerning Afterburner’s trademark terms, “Plan-Brief-Execute-Debrief-Win,” “Task Saturation,” “Flawless Execution,” and “Execution Rhythm,” also found them in violation of flight suit trade dress laws.

The Corps Group, the defendants argued, were not in violation of dress trade laws because they wore patches to distinguish themselves from the flight suits of Afterburner’s. Still, on April 1,  and after 5 long years in court, the jury ruled in favor of Afterburner and Murphy and now the defendants are looking at a bill of $788.649 in damages.

After the ruling social media pilot sites blew up with news of the ruling. Chuck Yeager, the first person to break the sound barrier, was upset by the news and posted on his Facebook page that “Afterburner has sued a few people claiming he owns the trademark for pilot suits.” It seems the aviation community is in an uproar and to perhaps quiet the noise, Afterburner released a statement.

“In a desperate attempt to cast Afterburner in a negative light during the trial, these individuals falsely stated that we are attempting to prohibit all veterans from wearing their flight suits. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE. Unfortunately, this misinformation was repeated in various blogs. The truth of the matter is that Afterburner was and is only trying to protect itself from unfair competition.”

Trade dress and service marks, like a trademark, protect intellectual property. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office awarded in 2011 to Afterburner the trade dress of a flight suit worn for the purposes of “business management consultancy services; executive search and placement services; personnel placement and recruitment,” states Murphy.

Murphy contends that the suit was brought on to “seek protection” against infringement on their trademarks and that The Corps Group only caused “confusion in the marketplace and more importantly with our own clients,” while Borneman argues that the “flight suits and the common fighter pilot terms should not belong to Murphy and Afterburner since all military pilots wear flight suits and learn those terms in their military training.”

Because of the ruling and the injunction that was issued on April 10 restricting the wearing of “military flight suits with patches” and not allowing the use of “audio visual images and photographs of fighter airplanes, cockpits and pilots to “conduct motivational seminars, keynote speeches or workshops that involve fighter pilots,” The Corps Group says this will “strip” them of who they are, pilots. Borneman said, “Right now, I basically have to de-fighter pilot myself and that fighter pilot image is a big deal to me.”
