Rudy Giuliani on Obama’s Crusades Remark: Do You Think ISIS Is Afraid of Him?

February 6, 2015

Fox News Insider:

Rudy Giuliani reacted this morning to President Obama comparing violence by Christians in the Crusades to the atrocities of ISIS.

Two days after a Jordanian pilot was burned alive by ISIS terrorists, the president compared the terror army’s acts to violence committed by Christians in the Crusades.

And he said Christ was also used as a justification for slavery and racial discrimination in the United States.

“Humanity has been grappling with these questions throughout human history. Unless we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ,” the president said at the National Prayer Breakfast.

Giuliani said the president’s statement is the “absolute wrong thing at absolutely the wrong time.”

“He’s as weak a historian as he is a president, and as weak a theologian,” said Giuliani, as he laid out why the president’s argument is actually inaccurate historically.

Giuliani argued that ISIS actions now “can be justified by words that I can pull right out of the Koran and show you.”

He said in the Crusades both sides committed atrocities, but the Christians were responding to the Muslims’ invasion.

“[ISIS] is stoning women for adultery. … They’re killing Christians, they’re trying to wipe out Christians. It isn’t a reaction to what we’re doing. We’re not doing the same thing to them. … When is he going to start standing up for us, for our Western values that have civilized the world?” he asked.

Giuliani said the statements were “silliness,” and argued that our enemies do not fear this president.

“An American president has to be tough. It isn’t bad if our enemies are afraid of the President of the United States. It isn’t bad if the people who want to come here and kill us are afraid of the President of the United States. Do you think any of them are afraid of him?!”

U.S. Intel Official Drops BOMBSHELL About Terrorist Traded For Bergdahl

Mad World News:

President Obama is about to have a bit more egg on his face after a U.S. intelligence official dropped a bombshell regarding one of the five terrorists released from Guantanamo Bay in exchange for deserter Bowe Bergdahl. According to reports, one of the Taliban terror masterminds is back to work scheming the best possible way to kill Americans.

According to CNN, the intelligence officials wouldn’t identify the former detainee that returned to terrorist activities. As one could imagine, the U.S. government has been actively monitoring all forms of communication of the released men and determined him to have “reached out” in encouragement of fellow militants.

However, some within the administration are comfortable enough to say that it goes beyond the alleged “suspected” classification of returning to insurgent activities. In fact, they’re fairly certain he would be considered as “confirmed” when it came to returning to his former terrorist lifestyle.

Apparently, there is a debate among the administration as Obama continues to attempt to save face.

The five terrorists were released at a time Obama sought favor among the American people as he was experiencing a debilitating approval rate. In an attempt to ease the public’s mind, who were understandably uneasy over Obama’s unilateral action, he said, “I wouldn’t be doing it if I thought that it was contrary to American national security.”

Of course this all backfired when the American people discovered Obama saw fit to trade five of the biggest threats to America for nothing more than a deserter. Although charges were reportedly set to be filed against Bergdahl, the administration has since miraculously made a sudden and abrupt u-turn as Obama fears the political ramifications of such action.

After all, could you imagine if it came out that Obama released five of the most notorious terrorists alive for a man who had recanted his citizenship and voluntarily sought out the company of the enemy?

Now on top of it all, one of the men, who Obama assured his constituents was no longer a threat to “American national security,” has returned to fulfill his pledge to destroy the United States.

Dramatic footage of the Charlie Hebdo terrorists has emerged online, showing the gunmen calmly leaving the magazine’s office in their car after murdering 12 people. The extremists are seen firing at a police car upon escaping the crime scene.

Filmed from a nearby window, the video shows two armed masked men, dressed in black – later identified as Said and Cherif Kouachi – approaching a black Citroen car. By the vehicle, the terrorists calmly check their ammunition and reload their guns, placing one of the automatic rifles on top of the car.

We have avenged the Prophet Mohammed,” one of the armed men is heard shouting in French.

That’s France for you,” a man filming the scene is heard commenting behind the camera.

After a brief discussion, the two attackers get into the car and start driving off. However, the man continues filming, apparently learning out of his window, and shows a police car driving down the narrow street towards the black Citroen.

Howard Dean in a mixture of the loony words that come from the mouth of Joe Biden, the ignorance and stubbornness of Harry Reid and the intellectual fire power of Nancy Pelosi.

Yes, the D., in Democrat must come to represent denial.  They have been locked in the same progressive/socialist time warp since the days of Woodrow Wilson.

Perhaps you would prefer they be called “Peace Activists, ” that work for you Howard?

(Breitbart) – On Wednesday’s “Morning Joe,” former Gov. Howard Dean (D-VT) downplayed any ties of gunmen that killed 12 at the offices of a French satirical magazines in Paris have to the religion of Islam.

Howard Dean: Don’t Call Paris Terrorists ‘Muslim’

According to Dean, we should stop attributing the “Muslim” label to them because they fall in line with a cult that is able to overcome France’s strict gun laws to carry out such an attack.

“You know, this is a chronic problem,” Dean said. “I stopped calling these people Muslim terrorists. They’re about as Muslim as I am. I mean, they have no respect for whatever anybody else’s life. That’s not what the Koran says. You know, Europe has an enormous radical problem. I think ISIS is a cult, not an Islamist cult. I think it’s a cult. I think you got to deal with these people.”

– Featured Post – The closing of Guantanamo Bay has been on President Obama’s Bucket List but it looks like it won’t be accomplished today or any time soon as Congress, once again, blocks his efforts.

By Lorra B at  | on December 3, 2014

Earlier this year America was stunned at the release of five Guantanamo Detainees of which the Taliban group had tried to free for more than a decade. Their freedom was bought with the exchange of one prisoner of war, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

Never mind that the Top Taliban Commanders freed were some of the worst terrorists being held or that the one being exchanged for them, Berghahl, had been suspected of being a trader.

None of those things seemed to matter to Obama as he forged ahead knowing that all five of the released men were considered to be a very high risk of likely forging attacks against the United States if they were ever freed.

It has been Obama’s intent to close Guantanamo Bay from the onset of his presidency. In fact, this is the tenth attempt. At each turn He has been met with opposition.

This is a non-comprehensive list of nine previous occasions Obama or his aides talked about closing Gitmo:

June 2007

Barack Obama told a Texas crowd on Sunday that he wants the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, detainee facility closed, a step the Bush administration is considering…”While we’re at it,” he said, “we’re going to close Guantanamo. And we’re going to restore habeas corpus.” —Washington Post

November 2008

The Obama administration will launch a review of the classified files of the approximately 250 detainees at Guantanamo Bay immediately after taking office, as part of an intensive effort to close the U.S. prison in Cuba, according to people who advised the campaign on detainee issues. —Washington Post

January 2009

The detention facilities at Guantanamo for individuals covered by this order shall be closed as soon as practicable, and no later than 1 year from the date of this order. If any individuals covered by this order remain in detention at Guantanamo at the time of closure of those detention facilities, they shall be returned to their home country, released, transferred to a third country, or transferred to another United States detention facility in a manner consistent with law and the national security and foreign policy interests of the United States. —White House Executive Order

December 2009

In ordering the federal government to acquire an Illinois prison to house terrorism suspects who are currently held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, President Obama on Tuesday took a major step toward shutting down the military detention facility that its detractors say had become a potent recruitment tool for Al Qaeda. —New York Times

March 2011

The Administration remains committed to closing the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, and to maintain a lawful, sustainable and principled regime for the handling of detainees there, consistent with the full range of U.S. national security interests. —White House Fact Sheet

October 2012

“There are some things that we haven’t gotten done. I still want to close Guantanamo, we haven’t been able to get that through Congress.” —Obama on The Daily Show With Jon Stewart

April 2013

“I continue to believe that we’ve got to close Guantanamo. I think, well, you know, I think it is critical for us to understand that Guantanamo is not necessary to keep America safe. It is expensive. It is inefficient. It hurts us, in terms of our international standing. It lessens cooperation with our allies on counter-terrorism efforts. It is a recruitment tool for extremists. It needs to be closed.” —Obama during a White House press conference

January 2014

“With the Afghan war ending, this needs to be the year Congress lifts the remaining restrictions on detainee transfers and we close the prison at Guantanamo Bay—because we counter terrorism not just through intelligence and military action, but by remaining true to our Constitutional ideals, and setting an example for the rest of the world.” —Obama in his 2014 State of the Union address

September 2014:

'GITMO Force Feeding Videos' must be Released says Judge '

After a two-year lull in which no low-level prisoners were released, the detainees in early 2013 began a widespread hunger strike. The protest prompted Mr. Obama to revive his effort to close the prison. He appointed Mr. [Cliff] Sloan, a former White House and corporate attorney, and another envoy to negotiate transfer deals. —New York Times,” reports MotherJones.

Most American’s, however, do not wish Obama to close the terrorist facility in Cuba, having grown cautious of letting prisoners with ties to terrorists go free or even moving them into U.S. prisons.

“Two in three American’s told Gallup that they want President Obama to keep the 149 suspected terrorists being held at Gitmo under lock and key on foreign soil instead of shutting down the camp,” reports MailOnline News.

It isn’t only the American citizens who don’t want this to come to fruition but also Republicans and some Democrats in Congress as well stating that they are reluctant to house these terrorists on American soil.

It’s no surprise that, as in all of Obama’s previous attempts to close Guantanamo, this latest attempt was also met with rejections from lawmakers.

“Democratic Sen. Carl Levin of Michigan, the chairman of the Armed Services committee, told reporters on Monday that the final bill omits a provision giving the president the authority to transfer terror suspects to the United States if Congress signs off on a comprehensive plan to close the prison,” according to

In May the provision to the bill included a stipulation allowing the transfer of suspected terrorists onto U.S. territory for “detention, trial and incarceration, subject to stringent security measures and legal protections, once the president has submitted a plan to Congress for closing Guantanamo and Congress has had an opportunity to vote to disapprove that plan under expedited procedures.”

But lawmakers were successful in fighting the White House efforts to move detainees in the final version of the defense bill prohibiting their transfer unto American soil.

President Obama will have to save the Guantanamo Bay Bucket-List for another day.

The mayor of Jerusalem has called on Israeli authorities to revoke the citizenship of family members of terrorists. This proposal was made in response to growing tensions between Palestinians and Israelis.

' Jerusalem mayor: Revoke citizenship for terrorists’ families '

“We must be extremely focused [in our efforts] against evil people, to locate them and deal with them firmly,” Mayor Nir Barkat told Army Radio, Haaretz reported.

Barkat said he had discussed the issue with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Cabinet.

“I think they understand it, and will examine how to revoke the citizenship of terrorists’ families, as well as how to act more decisively against those who incite, cause disturbances and throw stones.”

Barkat’s proposal comes a day after Itamat Shimoni, the mayor of Ashkelon, near the Gaza Strip, said he was planning to ban Arab workers from kindergartens.

“I have nothing against Arab Israelis; they work with us throughout the year and do construction for us.” However, he said, when tensions are high, just as Jews should be prevented from entering the Temple Mount, “by the same measure, I think it is wrong to allow Arab workers into the kindergartens.”

The comments by Ashkelon’s mayor were strongly condemned across the political spectrum.

“There is no place for discrimination against Arab Israelis,” Netanyahu said. “We cannot make generalizations about an entire population based on a small unruly minority. Most Arabs citizens of Israel are law-abiding.”

Shimoni said he wanted to increase security after five people were killed in synagogue in East Jerusalem by two Arabs in a terror attack on Tuesday. One UK and three US rabbis were among the victims, when they were attacked with knives, axes and a pistol. A police officer was also killed and seven people were injured. Both attackers were shot dead by police.

Barkat said that that Shimoni’s decision reminded him of the period of World War II in Europe.

“We cannot generalize in the same way that was done to the Jews 70 years ago,” Barkat said. “Here, in Jerusalem, we have tens of thousands of Arab laborers. We must make a very clear distinction”between terrorists and law-abiding citizens.

Barkat urged the residents of Jerusalem to continue employing Arab population. It was reported that the sister of one of the attackers in the synagogue November 18 was employed in Jerusalem.

But she is a “valued, excellent employee”who has been working for Jerusalem for more than a decade, said Barkat.

Tensions between Israelis and Palestinians have been running particularly high over the last two weeks and world leaders are becoming increasingly frustrated at the lack of progress in Israeli-Palestinian relations.

The Jerusalem mayor said he has introduced new plan to improve security in the city.

A total of 130 new police cruisers will be deployed in Jerusalem, with an extra 30 cruisers protecting schools and kindergartens, says a statement released by the mayor’s office, cited by The Times of Israel.

Also 215 new security guards will be present in the kindergartens and schools will receive hundreds of security cameras.

“Bringing back security to the city is our most important mission,” said Barkat, adding that four surveillance balloons have been deployed in the city.
